Finding Dr Michaelia Verbeek at Coolangatta Medical Centre has been life-changing. I feel like a different person after her exceptional care. I saw so many doctors and specialists before who not only didn't know what was going on but also didn't care to discover. She helped me discover I had POTS, manage MCAS, and speak to a team of specialists she had built around her who understand complex conditions which have lead to other diagnoses, including hEDS.

Dr Verbeek is special in what she brings to any appointment - she cares, listens deeply, and (importantly) allows you to have some agency in your health journey. After medical gaslighting from other 'professionals', Dr Verbeek's care, kindness, and zero judgement has been instrumental to the nervous system healing on my return to good health. I feel SO much better and I am so grateful for this journey.

It's not only Dr Verbeek; the reception staff at Coolangatta Medical Centre are friendly and kind, too, and the nurses do an excellent job. It's so amazing to have a place to receive such good care overall. Thank you to all!

Absolutely wonderful service. I’m not a local but I went to them needing medical assistance and everyone from the receptionist, to the nurse to the doctor were so professional and polite. They explained everything very well, gave me my options and treated my issues very quickly. I felt very safe and well take care of. THANK YOU 🙏

Today was to be my first appointment at Cooloongatta Medical Centre. My GP had left her previous practice and moved here so I made an appointment for 10.15am. For some reason I thought it was 10.45am so I arrived at 10.23am. The lovely admin staff called the Dr after telling me it should be fine, and were advised my GP Dr Sylvie Rosengren said not only would she not see me, at all, but the $92.44 fee would be kept. After considerable discussion I was asked to have a meeting with a very kind gentleman (practice manager I guess) who noted my clear distress. I have a very complex medical history and changing doctors is a really big thing - hence I had followed her there. He offered to get me in immediately with her, but by that time I was so distressed and had lost all faith in the level of care I would receive. He also offered me another GP. Unfortunately the damage was done. He then offered to refund my money. In closing, the only person I can fault is my GP. Given I have always waited up to 1/2hr for every appointment it was a very poor choice to make on her part. Now, sadly, I need to find another GP. Shame on you Dr. Do better.

Yes these guys are worth going too if you ever feel like you have got no were to go in life and could need community support . These guys were beautiful . From the front desk to the doc and bloods and all the way to the back nurses.
I learnt today , The docs office can be a good start . Even if you don’t like going to the doctor. As I have had a much better day then yesterday thanks to the staff .

Dr Russell was great with my 7 year old daughter. Putting her at ease for a small but sometimes painful procedure. Quickly seen and children still bulk billed.

Trying to book a consultation with my GP who I've been consulting with for the last 4 years who is amazing but there are no available spots for the next 30 days and her schedule for the following month is not open yet so the best they could do was adding me to de cancelation list. I dont want to change my GP but I need at least a date. Affecting my mental health, my work and my young family which I am the main provider.

Great practice. New to the practice with reasonably complex medical history and chronic conditions. Receptionists were friendly, helpful and un-rushed despite it being a busy practice, by far the nicest ones I'm come across. Dr Gabi Rocha was thorough, spent time examining my history, and spent time and effort examining options for treatment and checking I was on the right meds. Certainly one of the most helpful and thorough doctors I've come across.

Its a great practice with modern facilities and great staff.

Have seen Doctor Louisa since my daughter was a baby ( Now 4) , was on the hunt for a caring, kind and thorough doctor, Dr Louisa goes above and beyond and creates a caring respectful patient relationship with my daughter and myself.
The best Dr have come across!
And the reception ladies are also very helpful and supportive.
