I was quite disappointed with the service I received at this pharmacy. I was in need of ondansetron urgently and being a medical practitioner, I’m allowed to self prescribe in NSW. The pharmacist took one look at me and possibly profiled me based on my skin colour and suggested I contact’ my doctor friends’ to prescribe for me instead. Knowing very well how long it takes to be seen in ED or even get a GP appointment. It was an emergency and I needed just a few tablets of ondansetron which he refused for whatever reason.We owe it to ourselves and our community to remove bias when dealing with patients in order to provide the best healthcare possible

I have seen your reply below and for some reason , I’m unable to reply directly.
I am a licensed physician and my request was not to be dispensed ondansetron without a script but to prescribe it for my self with a valid prescription.
The pharmacist at your shop asked me a series of questions which were to suggest I was lying about who I was ; I just wonder how he came to that conclusion! He didn’t ask me for an ID or a prescriber number to verify who I was
I understand the need to double check as health professionals to ensure safe dispensing of medications but it very obvious I was judge based on how I Looked
You need to do better!!!

The most amazing Chemist i have ever been too i have a disabled lilttle girl and have been unwell myself they always without fair pick up my scripts then return with them not long later theyalways go above and beyond to try and help you amd make life easier for you. I hate using other chemists only if i absolutely i say support the local pharmacy who are just human like you and me trying to make a living.(and helping so many ppl in the mean time.
