I've been coming to Clinical Trials of Florida for several months now and have to say the staff here is amazing! I initially drove here and then had issues with my car, the staff said no problem Mr. Nasir, we'll send you a car for pickup and drop off. I had an Asthma study done, and now I'm considering having a sleep study next! Awesome people!

I had an appointment for 6/10/19 which I had set up the week before in which I was told I would be given transportation for an Asthma study and I was told to gather my medication(Everyday/Emergency Inhalers) and paperwork(which I got) for the study. Day of, I was called and I was coughing on the phone(due to external allergies today) and was told I wouldn't be eligible because of the coughing and to send over HIPAA authorization even though I hadn't even been pre-screened.

I cancelled appointments and errands I had for the day and when I called back I was told I would NOT be compensated for the time I was giving them for the pre-screening AND that I wouldn't even be given transportation even though this was talked about beforehand.

As the operator said, "We're not sending someone to Miami Gardens if we're located in Kendall"

When I called to have my name removed because I thought this was extremely unprofessional and sketchy, somehow I didn't even have to give a name as they said okay and were about to hang up until I told them I hadn't even given my name. Huh?

Be careful of studies like this!!! One day and on their website they say they give appropriate compensation and transportation but god forbid you cough, a phone operator who isn't a doctor will somehow be able to diagnose you through the phone and then cancel your appointment. Shame, I've never had this problem before. That's Miami for you.
