Specialists more often than not will run late with their appointments. The reception staff at Citywest were happy for me to phone them to see how the appointment times were going so that I didn't waste too much time in the waiting room. Dr Wegman was polite, professional and caring. My advice - give the reception a call to see if the doc is running behind with the appointments to avoid feeling annoyed about the wait time when you get there.

Don't be swayed by the negative reviews. Keep in mind people will likely only post when they have a negative experience, not a positive one. I took my young child to see Dr Wegman today. I found her to be friendly, approachable, helpful and informative. She patiently explained her condition in a language my child could understand and alleviated her anxieties. My daughter even commented when leaving what a kind doctor she is and we left feeling hopeful. Appointment was at 1030am. We saw her at 1040am. Win win situation 🏆

It took me two months to get an appointment with Dr Wegman.
I used a day of annual leave for my appointment only to learn that she had cancelled the session. Reception had informed me that she'll be making 'make-up' appointments however I am yet to be contacted (currently has been about a week). Alternatively, reception had mentioned that I could also be placed into the waiting queue but this experience has ironically taught me to grow thicker skin and learn not to waste my time.

I'm trying to contact them for a doctor's referral & the dermatology clinic is EXTREMELY difficult to contact. No business hours on Google, no business website or mobile number or no email address, & appears to be closed by midday & Friday all weekend through to Tuesday. I'm busy in the mornings so when I call the clinic I always get an answering machine. What a stress out! It shouldn't be this difficult just to book an appointment. 🤷
(Edit: Just writing a reply "please leave a message on the answering machine" doesn't help anyone's situation, especially the patient's situation. Please think outside of the box. Welcome to the 21th century, thank you very much.)

I used to go here in 2017. I went about three times and Dr Annette Wegman treated me SO POORLY that I wanted to leave crying each time. Never have I had a doctor look me up and down at my severe atopic dermatitis with a complete look of disgust. She looked at me like I was filthy dirty and told me “oh you DEFINITELY have bugs.”

I felt so humiliated. I told myself never again will I see this woman and return to this practice. I was seen for less than 15 minutes and all my concerns dismissed.

She told me my diet had no correlation to my skin disease.

As of last year I have been diagnosed with 27 known allergens - many of them dietary.

She had stuck me on methotrexate….. this woman wasted all my money, degraded me, made me want to go home and cry after she told me I had bugs.

How awful. Never again.

Dr.Wegman is one of the rudest doctors I’ve ever come across. My appointment with her only lasted around 10 minutes and within that short amount of time, she made sure to lack any empathy, cut me off while I was speaking, and talk to me with a rude tone. She barely asked me questions regarding the issue of my skin conditions/ history of it, she barely explained anything to me and it felt like she was just trying to rush me out the door. Definitely will not be going back and would not recommend her.
