I’m really not sure what has happened to this once-friendly clinic. The wait times to make an appointment have been steadily increasing (along with all the fees), and today I was even hung up on! I could hear them picking up a phone and hanging up…

Perhaps picking up the phone wasn’t on the reception team’s agenda & their job description for the day- maybe I am expecting too much!?

This is a medical clinic, and most people walk through the door because they’re dealing with issues… The least that can be expected is for the reception staff to answer the phone politely and greet patients with at least a hint of a smile when in the clinic. A little kindness goes a long way, especially in a healthcare setting!

I just had an amazing experience at this clinic. I had a full body skin cancer check with Dr Andrew Thant- he is very knowledgeable and also very approachable. I actually had a lot of anxiety about getting my skin checked but the moment I walked in to his office instantly felt at ease. He was very thorough and his personality was really easy going. My partner and I both got checked and when we left we couldn’t stop talking about what an amazing doctor he was and what a great experience we both just had! I’ve already started messaging my friends that they should get their skin check here! It is also really easy to book online so that is definitely a plus!

I never rush to see doctors but after being quite unwell for days I booked an appointment with Dr Than Tun. I was in pain, my throat was so sore I could no longer eat or drink. Dr Tun said to just take nurofen and lozenges (which I had already been doing for 3 days). And then he charged me $90.

I left disappointed and knew I needed a second opinion. I took a photo of inside my mouth and I could see the white infection around my tonsils. I went to a different medical centre where they listened, did their job and prescribed the appropriate medication.

My husband and I have now had 3 COVID vaccinations each at this medical centre at Chevron Island. Each visit has been a pleasant experience. Yes, there have been some wait times but only minimal - 10 minutes maximum. Each time the centre has been very busy but the staff have taken the time to speak with us and make sure we understood what to expect and to answer any questions we might have. We felt cared for and treated very well. I can thoroughly recommend this medical centre.

I have been a patient there for over 10 years. I booked an 8.30 am apt today was eventually seen at 9.00 am. How can anyone be running that late at that hour? No apologies for keeping me waiting. I am a Registered Nurse having worked 10 years in private practice and no way would I not apologised for keeping someone waiting

I usually never leave reviews, but feel this one is necessary. I would not recommend this Medical Centre to anyone as my Partner and I have both felt completely ripped off by this place.

Personally I never visit Doctors or the hospital, but felt desperate enough that I had to. My Doctor did not ask me any questions related to my issue, and would not even look me in the eyes when speaking to me. I was charged for a procedure - which after the short 5 mins he spent with me - concluded that it wasn't necessary. He wanted to finalise my visit quickly by asking me if I had any questions..... yet I had just told him how poorly I had been feeling, and after telling him everything he offered no guidance or help... Very strange interaction. Then he prescribed me antibiotics which he said, "Personally I don't think you need them."

I felt that my partners Doctor also double/triple charged my partner and gave her misguiding advice in regards to her back injury. After not providing details about what she can and can't do after putting her on light duties (which I'm sure can happen if not asked for), we called them to simply ask for a few words describing what she is able to do safely at work (as her work requested for this)... just a few words, and they made her book another $90 visit (she is a foreigner with no medicare), just to write something along the lines of 'no heavy lifting', in a obviously very short encounter.

Previously to this she had come home to me crying about her experience as her Doctor had recommended she change career and consider back surgery....due some back pain from a gym injury, which has never been checked with an MRI or confirmed as anything that bad. Her Chiropractor and Physiotherapist both said that judgment was ridiculous and the last measure one should take.

I write this just to express my concerns to people who might go to this place and in hope that service is improved.

The most warm and welcoming medical centre i have been to in a very long time had some very bad experiences in the past especially at private clinics the receptionist are so happy and helpful and made me feel very comfortable just being in there presence my doctor was so calm and understanding and made me feel heard absolutely adore this centre and would recommend to everyone !
