An absolute waste of taxpayers money . My experience of dealing with my sons NDIS funding has been deplorable. He turned 18 , left school , we have been awarded guardianship through the courts and not one piece of correspondence with an LAC . How can a local area coordinator coordinate without any contact what so ever ? Plan went through without a single email .
What are these people employed for ?
Terrible service , we have now engaged a company to deal with them .
Bringing up a young adult with special needs is hard enough in itself

They are more interested in their budgets than looking after the participants. They are rude. I took a deaf participant there last week. I told them she was deaf and they needed to talk slowly and we needed more time, this was before the interview. On the day the participant told them to slow down so she could lip read as her new choclears were ancient( updated by mater hospital, N6 not N8s the latest last November). they didn't listen. I felt like I was attacked when I talked, there was a group leader in the room. My participants remarks "They were bully's". I've been dealing with Carers Qld for the past 6 years. The only LAC I felt comfortable with was Megan, she understood because she also had a disability. Every other LAC I've dealt with are rude and not honest.
I am truly sick and tired of them saying one thing doing another then hiding behind NDIA saying they did not write the plan. I don't want to see another plan with incorrect information, and stating the LACs contact participants, they don't eg my daughter hasn't been contact in 5 years since Megan left. My participant tried to contact them for help but nothing happened, no one contacted her or tried to help her utilize her plan to her advantage.
Carers Queensland needs a big shake up or there should be more places to go see. Isn't it about CHOICE AND CONTROL for the participant. Queensland NDIA and Carers Qld have forgotten this.

Carers Queensland, they are rude, no compassion, no educated....
I had a phone meeting with a guy. He was the one. It's depends on luck who took the phone calls or meet, however Carers Queensland should educate and train the staff. They are so busy too, they don't answer the phone calls, no response to emails. This is also depends on luck too.
