Ok place.
Swimming lessons are average quality but they have a lot of choice for hours, levels and days. They also go over the school holidays.
The club line gym is great.
The pool has two long pools, one for small kiddies, a slide and a spa with steam room. Prices are a bit steep for what you get considering it's often not clean.

Great gym, pool facilities are good, but the change rooms and the steam room are just so incredibly filthy 24/7.
Literally rather drive all the way out to Gungahlin (extra 15min from my location) just to have relatively clean change rooms and steam room.
Really need a revamp of the change rooms and steam room, they are absolutely disgusting, and half the toilet stalls don’t even have a toilet roll holder or toilet rolls in them anymore. It’s a joke.

Staff were so helpful. Our daughter wanted to watch her daughter at her swimming carnival but had recently undergone surgery and couldn't use the stairs. Lifeguards quickly arranged for a chair for her on the other side of the pool so she could watch her daughter safely. Well done.

Afternoon swim!
Enjoyed a lovely swim with the family today at the Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre. A great swim with a slide for the kids, whirlpool, spa, sauna, and lap pools for me, we loved it all. The condition of all equipment, including showers were great considering other simular centres. My only concern with this pool is the humidity inside, its good to be warm but can feel dehydrating, bring water to hydrate. As a family we love swimming and i would recommend to any family. Follow-up to this review still a great place to swim, got a bit busy today and felt like you had no space for yourself. Further follow-up, pool much the same bit of a bother that no lap pools are heated.

After having to try to do exercise in the frigid main pool at because the program pool was full of swimming lessons, as always, clambering up and down the ladder with my aching joints because there's no accessible stairs or ramp to the main pool, I was freezing and aching when I come to the pool to try to ache less.

So then I tried to sit in the spa-ish area that is awkwardly in the toddler pool... but I quickly got uncomfortable at having parents and kids stare at me like I'm a weirdo for being in there with no kids, while the kids were (very fairly) splashing all about me.

Hoping for a shred of warmth and dignity, I took my freezing self to the spa, the only place in the pool with easy access stairs with a handrail mind you, and which was empty sans one person. Within two minutes I am told off and kicked out by a lifeguard for not having the special wristband. I had already paid $9.50 for admission and was expected to pay double that to access the simplistic spa. Confusingly, this is not an extra cost at ANU aquatics and that spa is newer and nicer (the parking on the other hand is a nightmare).

Apparently it is better to heat a near empty spa than to turn a blind eye to a quiet middle aged lady with pretty obvious mobility challenges.

So then it was off for a tepid shower in the change rooms!

Trying to find anywhere in Canberra to do warm water exercise that is affordable, has availability or space in the evenings, and is accessible is maddeningly difficult. This is my local pool, yet it seems to be run for the benefit of a large leisure conglomerate instead of the community.

Brought the kids to the pool, paid for entry and slide passes, only to find the entire big pool closed off for water polo and laps, and the smaller pool divided in half, with the deeper half cut off for swimming lessons. I was advised that both pools will be like that until at least 7….we’re here at 4:30. A lifeguard allowed the kids to swim in a middle lane, but the next lifeguard on duty said they couldn’t.
The deepest part of the smaller pool is 1.06m btw…
This is beyond frustrating, why on earth would we be charged the full price of admission when the whole facility is mostly unusable? We were also not the only people in this position.
Cisac, you are a joke

The place is an absolute RIP OFF plus it's dirty and outdated. I wouldn't even use the facilities FOR FREE. That's how BAD it is!

Well apparently the government owns the car park, there is a lot of cars parked illegally just so they can be lazy and walk a short distance to go to the gym and be fit lol 😂
We might have to organise some parking officers to come through.
I’ve just added some frequent flyers that should get some attention with their reading. Just some constructive criticism.
