Can be a bit confusing to find the entrance - it's outside, next to the coffee shop. UC parking is paid if you're there for over an hour, and CIG can't validate your ticket - probably best to drive out and drive back in if you'll be longer.

This morning I had my first MRI scan at Canberra Imaging in Bruce (University of Canberra - Health Hub). The receptionist that served me and the technician I had who was called, Daniella were both friendly and made me feel very comfortable.

Before my appointment, I called the clinic to enquire about whether there were any ways to help ease my anxiety on the day. I spoke with a lovely person called, “May” who offered some helpful suggestions and who also asked if there was anything the clinic could do to help ease my anxiety.

When I was informed that I would receive headphones to reduce the noises from the machine, I asked whether I could listen to some music to which they agreed to straight away.

Today when I attended my appointment, I listened to the radio during the scan and it helped me so much! I definitely recommend speaking with the receptionist & technician about listening to music because it really is helpful.

If you experience anxiety or claustrophobia, please let the clinic know in advance so they can offer ways to best support you. If you have any ideas that you think would make you feel more comfortable, let them know as they are very accommodating and understanding 🙂

Had a Cortisone injection done on 7/11 and this was my first time getting this procedure done, I was very nervous. In session I asked a few questions where I was met with blunt short sharp rudeness from the doctor. I was in no way questioning the doctor’s ability I was just curious about the procedure being done to me. I left that procedure more nervous than when I walked in.

X5 ⭐️ to the lady assisting the doctor. She was talking to me and checking in on me while doctor was doing procedure. I felt this helped me keep my nerves down considering I there for a while. She was the one who explained what my pain should be like during the next couple of days. None of that from the doctor as he left immediately after he was done.

They have an aversion to answering clients calls. But don’t worry, you can book online and it will only take seven days for them to contact you back. After so many years of having my injections done there, I’m quitting.

I can't praise this lot highly enough. I had some complications over the New Year break and urgently needed some scans and injections. After calling the provided phone number for bookings, I was given an appointment the very next day followed by another the day after. The fellow I spoke with was extremely helpful and sympathetic to my needs. Excellent customer service. The staff at the clinic were professional, helpful, friendly and super efficient. For counter staff, nurses and treating doctor I have nothing but praise. Their sense of humour was also much appreciated. Thank you all for your help. Oh yeah, most of my treatment was covered by Medicare. Huge saving.

Very efficient and lovely staff. After calling a different imaging company and being told I’d have to wait 4 weeks for my scan and it wouldn’t be covered by Medicare I called CIG who put me on a cancellation list and I was seen the next day, and the service was covered by Medicare. The staff were all very lovely and helpful.

I can only make comment on visiting CIG at UC twice, but I have received excellent care from nursing staff, doctors and radiologists. I am grateful to have urgent care for my achilles today. Thank you for your help!

Appointment is always on time, never had to wait long.
However, the team that are responsible for making appointments over the phone need to be clear that student card does count as concession if it is FULL TIME Study. I was studying part-time then switched to full load (4 units) which count as full time. I couldn't find the statement anywhere that says FULL time study not even on the Commonwealth HECS statement. So I showed the lady the study interface which clearly states that I am doing 4 units this semester. Additionally, every time I went in and used the same ID no one said anything about it up until now. Yes I should have gotten my student ID updated to avoid this problem. But the inconsistency is not good, having one person saying it's fine while another person said it's not.
Not blaming this lady whatsoever, she was just doing her job and following the procedure, but I was just very annoyed of the inconsistency.
