This is what will happen. You will lock yourself in and do activities and be be educated on how to cope avoiding the substance of abuse.

You will have to learn that you are unaware of how much you hurt everyone else with your escape system.

I am so frustrated with the management of this facility. My grandfather is often found with no clothes in his cupboard ( management love to tell my family “we have over 150 residents and one lady doing the laundry “ - it’s not good enough for the amount of money paid to care for him. He’s often found in soiled diapers, I will say there a few wonderful nurses who give my family comfort that he’s cared for when they are working. He’s been bruised and forced into bed ( none of this was reported to elder abuse police) and on one occasion was left on the floor after falling overnight. The management of this facility is poor and needs to be reviewed. I work in healthcare and I am disgusted.

2 years ago when it was Japara it was quality. Unfortunately since the Calvary take over things have changed drastically. My mum has been sent out in pyjamas with no medication. When we go to visit her at Calvary there is crap all over the floor and with her falls risk she can’t bend to pick things up safely. I really hate the fact that she’s in there. At least we had a bit of comfort (when it was japara) knowing that she was being well looked after. Not now 😞

Edit - Calvary have excelled during the death of our mother and the last review is not true any longer

Not as good as it use to be , devoted Staff were treated very poorly and as a result lost alot of the long term experienced Staff members who genuinely loved their jobs and our family members in care.
Hopefully Calvery changes this toxic environment.
The care I have noticed when visiting has definitely declined , Very sad to see.

Very disappointed in how this facility is run. We chose Calvary because it had a very good reputation as Japara but in the 10 weeks we have been involved I am very concerned about the lack of leadership and number of agency staff being used.

Inept organisation, won't return calls, do not tell the truth, refused my 81yr old mum with dementia because she has paranoia and they said their staff/patient ratio was too small.
