Avoid at all cost if you care about your child. Today my child has been sent home with the wrong/no diagnosis. Mr Michael Chen has visited my child saying he had a reflux and nothing to worry about just “give him a cuddle”.Thank God we realized quickly enough the cuddle wasn’t enough and followed our own instinct (after being charged $30 for nothing) and went straight to hospital. Now I am in the hospital and the poor thing is intubated on Oxygen support. Thank you very much to this useless GP’s clinic. I hope my experience helps others. My wife is Taiwanese so beware to all Chinese/taiwanese community!!

I needed travel advice, vaccines, and general tests for other issues as well before heading off, and she was absolutely fantastic. Doctors are nice and patient. Dr. Chen is very generous because he allows anyone to book him any time of the day even if he’s busy. The other doctors also give you great advice and have long consultations with their patients if needed. I highly recommend this practice as it has experienced and bulk billing doctors. Many people may post bad reviews and comments about the Gowan Plaza Family Practice because of their lack of understanding in the system. Feel free to ask the receptionists questions if you’re unsure with anything 😊

Dr Michael Chen is the senior medical superintendent at the nursing home where my parents(R1,R2) stay. With remarkable medical skill, he is friendly and patient to the elderly. He has great ability towards expressing in Mandarin , which helps the elderly and family members easily understand the seniors' health conditions and treatment plans. And the receptionists of his clinic are friendly and professional, providing high-level services. My parents and family members are grateful to Dr. Chen and his staff.

Dr Michael Chen is my daughter’s GP. There are some good things about him:

(1) Patient - calm children down, tell them what he’ll do next and encourage them to follow.
(2) Sufficient information - he answers all of patients’ questions and provides extra information that patients haven’t thought of
(3) Professional - he explains patients’ current situation and potential causes and provides solutions - all in details
(4) Polite - say hello and welcome patients during the visit.
(5) Work hard - never missed phone consultations even it’s 8-9pm. When patients miss calls, he calls again.
(6) Responsible - never refused patients when they have fever or even got Covid

For babies or children to do regular check - Child Health Service gives you 45 min if you have a long list of questions.

Immunization - book an appointment with doctors so it will be included in their schedule to check children first

All nurses are friendly and professional, being welcome to patients during visit.

This place is the best medical center in Brisbane. Dr Michael Chen is very friendly and helpfully, always asks me if I have any other questions I he can help. The nurse is professional and fast for the vaccination without noticed. Love it. They always message the patient one day before for reminding for the vaccination due date. It's just convenience. Highly recommend.
