Today I attended this hospital due to a nasty cut on my foot. I was treated very quickly compared to hospitals in Sydney. Every doctor and nurse was fantastic. They went to great lengths to make sure I was treated properly with plenty of friendliness thrown in for free. Very professional and caring group of people!

Today i had emergency work done at the hospital dental clinic. The young dentist was the best dentist i've had in years! He was thorough, gentle & explained everything without the slightest hint of condescension to this aged pensioner. Everyone in the clinic & hospital generally was kind & helpful in fact. Absolutely amazing staff!! I brought my husband in with severe abdominal pain, vomiting and all sorts. Ray & Cathy (nurses) were absolutely attentive and compassionate. The Dr we saw was amazing and they picked up on everything. So impressive and very grateful. These guys deal with a lot of unnecessary and self inflicted patients that take up the time of those actually in need and are so unappreciated for the time they take out of their lives to help us!! Thank you BB ED you guys definitely deserve gratitude for what you do xx Also would like to add that reception staff were so kind and attentive as busy as they are and kept offering me tea etc. I’m sorry I can’t remember the Dr’s name but she was amazing as they all were!

Reception staff is nice. Apart from that, I left in the same state I arrived, with no medical guidance, no medical understanding of my symptoms and pain. I seriously don’t know what I paid for since I received no treatment, just an indication for paracetamol and buscopan (even though I said I didn’t have stomach spasms or cramps).

Dr Cameron Lynch is the worst doctor I have ever encountered. Rude, arrogant and acted like I was a total inconvenience. I came into the ER at 5am with an ulcer on my tongue that had caused extreme throbbing pain in my jaw and I was having trouble swallowing and breathing. He diagnosed me with laryngitis when it 100% wasn’t and I ended up leaving the hospital in the same condition I arrived in. He sauntered around with a blanket wrapped around him the whole time and he also interrogated my partner on who he was to me? I was obviously unable to speak properly and my partner was explaining what happened and Dr Lynch’s response was “who are you to her”. I requested a medical certificate for work before leaving and he just handed it to me without saying a word and walked off. Totally unprofessional and absolutely useless. Deport him back to the UK because he’s definitely not doing the Australian medical industry any favours.

Being from Melbourne and needing to go to the emergency ward, I found the service was really pleasing. They do the best they can to get everyone assessed and looked at. I could not fault them. Well done team.

All staff except one on reception were extremely lovely. The older lady with fuzzy short red hair on reception had made one other patient cry whilst I was there and when I approached her after nearly two hours to ask if I could wait for my X-ray results outside in the sun cause I was literally frozen and shivering with frozen fingers and chattering teeth in the waiting room ( and a child had thrown up everywhere so I was worried about contracting a vomiting bug)she told me very abruptly I’d miss my results if I wasn’t right there.
I know in tweed hospital I was given a blanket when waiting for hours cause I was freezing so I found her approach unnecessarily heartless and unacceptable. All other staff were excellent.

Provides no space to sit and wait away from the blaring TV. Asked if they could turn it down as it was making everything worse for me but she refused to turn the TV down and refused to offer a quiet place to sit and wait. Also have had incredibly insensitive doctors here in the past with zero people skills when dealing with distress.
