I recently visited Butler Family Practice and was impressed by the level of care and professionalism I received. From the moment I walked in, the reception staff were welcoming, efficient, and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and stress-free.

My GP, Dr. Vinod Nambiar, was outstanding-he took the time to listen attentively to my concerns, asked thoughtful questions, and provided clear, compassionate advice. I never felt rushed, and their expertise was evident in both diagnosis and treatment options.

The practice itself is clean, well-organized, and has a calming atmosphere. Waiting times were reasonable, and I appreciated the efficient follow-up process for test results.

I highly recommend Butler Family Practice to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional.

I have been seeing Dr Nambiar for nearly 5 years now. I find him very helpful and understanding. He listens to me and my concerns and understands my medical conditions, of which I have a few.
Unlike other doctors I have seen in the past he has actually taken me off some medications that he found out I didn’t need.
My elderly mother also sees him now and can’t praise him enough. Her previous doctor didn’t seem to do much but Dr Nambiar is very patient and kind with her. Her health has greatly improved since she has been seeing him, and getting better every day.
I highly recommend Dr Nambiar.

I had an appointment with Dr. Vinod Nambiar today for a serious matter, but unfortunately, I felt completely dismissed from the start. His manner was rude and disrespectful, and he showed no willingness to listen.

He also provided incorrect information regarding a prescription. When I politely tried to clarify that I had been advised otherwise in the past, he abruptly cut me off with, “Let me speak,” despite having dominated the conversation. The appointment felt rushed—after receiving the prescription, he simply turned back to his computer without a word, making it clear that the consultation was over.

Afterward, I spoke with a pharmacist who was shocked by the misinformation I had received. They confirmed that the advice I had previously been given was correct, reinforcing my frustration that the doctor had refused to listen.

I don’t typically write negative reviews, but this experience left me deeply disappointed. Due to the lack of professionalism and disregard for patient concerns, I will not be returning to this practice.

I have spoke with the Practice Manager over the phone regarding my experience, and she was so helpful and professional and made me feel heard. Megan the Receptionist was also very kind and polite when I went for my visit.

My elderly mum has been seeing Dr Pillai since she moved to Butler, 3 years ago. She has many health issues, both physical and emotional. She was recently hospitalised, for a fall which resulted in a breakage requiring surgery. Dr Pillai gives her the time she needs to talk about what's going on and always listens with kindness and patience. He then discusses a treatment plan based on her needs and limitations. He takes the time to explain everything clearly. He shows genuine concern and is able to ease her anxieties every time she sees him. We both appreciate the help he provides with his quiet and calm demeanour. My mum and I really appreciate everything he does, often going out of his way to show personal interest. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Pillai.

I have been going to Butler Family Practice for a couple of years and I highly recommend them. Lots of appointment availability, easy to book online or over the phone. Dr Pillai really listens to your concerns and is thorough in his assessment. And Dr Reid is wonderful for all things female.

I had a very negative experience with the practice and Dr. Binoy Pillai. I came to the appointment with my 88 years old mom and all I needed was to remove wax from her eyes. From the beginning of December the practice had not a single nurse that could do that. However, I was told to bring my mom anyway. I did that. All the services that I received from Dr. Binoy Pillai was several questions in a row about why my mom is leaving alone at her age. I am taking good care of my mom and also taking care about my mother in law. So when I come to GP, I expect him to do his job, not stick his nose in other people business. I don’t recommend him or this practice to anyone. It’s empty and unfriendly.
