I would like to leave a 5 star review for Burwood Eye Clinic on behalf of my father. He has been a patient at the clinic for 6 years now. The staff at the clinic has always been polite and accommodating him. Due to his many health problems, trying to coordinate his medical appointments has always been a challenge. The reception staff always tries their very best to accommodate his needs and have shown empathy towards him.
Dr Peter Kim performed cataract surgery for my father last year and this has been life changing for him. He has always been very shortsighted and wore thick glasses all his life. Now, at the age of 68, he is glasses free and only requires reading glasses for very small prints.
The appointment usually takes around 1-2 hours. I used to think it’s long, but after going to another eye clinic with my mother in law, it was even longer there. I will be coming to Dr Kim at Burwood Eye Clinic if I need to see an eye doctor in the future.

I was referred to Dr. David Wechsler for surgery by a friend in the eye medical industry, and I'm very glad I was recommended him. My optometrist initially recommended another doctor in Burwood, but after doing some research and consulting people I trust, I decided to go with Dr. Wechsler.

It was the right decision. In addition to treating my issues, Dr. Wechsler also diagnosed an issue with my eye pressure that could have led to other complications if left untreated. He carefully explained all the options available to me.

Last month, I underwent surgery along with a small stent to help manage my eye pressure. My vision is now clear, and my eye pressure is under control, meaning I no longer need eye drops. I'll have follow-ups every six months until Dr. Wechsler determines that yearly visits are sufficient. Really appreciate the care and professionalism of Dr. Wechsler and the entire team (that Debbie is lovely!) at Burwood Eye Clinic.

I have been taking my parents here for their eye appointments for the past 10 years. Dr David Wechsler came highly recommended by our GP.

Both my parents have undergone cataract surgery with Dr David Wechsler. The reception staff explained the costs to us very clearly. Everything happened exactly the way it was explained to us.

The outcome was perfect. They don’t even need their glasses anymore. My dad says his vision is better than it was 20 years ago! My mum was very scared, so she delayed the surgery for as long as she could, but she says she should have done it sooner.

My mum now sees Dr Oliver Lau here for eye injections due to macular degeneration. He is polite, caring and knowledgeable. My mum was so scared the first time. She asked so many questions, but Dr Lau was very patient with her. She never felt hurried.

We cannot say a single bad thing about this clinic. From the welcoming front desk staff to the Orthoptists and the doctors. Everyone is courteous, warm and professional. 10 out of 10!

Dr David Wechsler did my wife's catarcts a few mlnths ago and she is very happy with the results.
She has recommended Dr Wechsler to all her friends. He has also been managing her glaucoma. She has seen a few Ophthalmologists before Dr David Wechsler, but no one was able to make a diagnosis. Thanks to Dr Wechsler, she was able to start tteatment before any permanent damage was done.
Our experience at Burwood Eye Clinich has always been positive. All the staff there are pleasant to deal with and Dr Wechsler is the best Ophthalmologist in our opinion.

I've been there 3 times and it always takes 2 hours or more but the last time I was there was horrible. My appointment was at 10am and I arrived at 9.50am. I was told to sit and wait. At 11.15am, I was still waiting to be seen by the doctor so I asked if I should be next as I've seen that people who came a lot later after me have come and gone. I was told that I will be next but another lady who arrived after me was called again by the doctor instead of me. I still patiently waited and when she was finished, the doctor has still not cslled my name after 10 minutes. At 12pm I just stood up and told the receptionist that I'm leaving as it seems that I have been completely forgotten. She didn't even have my name on the queue. I wasted more than 2 hours just waiting for nothing! I'm not sure what system they have there. They just don't care on people's time so I'm not going back there ever!😡
