Absolutely worst clinic I have been to, 5.30 appointment and never seen got seen until 6.45, other people came were seen before me.
Also I needed to see doctor David, to my surprise my appointment was a week later
I think Chemist Warehouse next door has got the same disease as they getting as slow.
In my appointment I was told to see another doctor, but they tell you to see your original doctor
Would not recommend BURNSIDE MEDICAL SERVICES/ CLINIC to anyone who wants to stay healthy.

I’m writing this review on behalf of a friend who had a terrible experience with Dr. Frank Xia. From what she shared, the appointment was not only unhelpful but actively harmful. Instead of offering proper medical support, he was fatphobic, rude, and dismissive. Her genuine health concerns were ignored and brushed off, and the conversation was repeatedly redirected toward her weight — even when it had nothing to do with the issue at hand.

A doctor’s job is to listen, assess thoroughly, and treat patients with respect. Unfortunately, this doctor did the opposite. He seemed disinterested in doing his job properly and lacked both the knowledge and bedside manner that any responsible medical professional should have.

Nobody should leave a medical appointment feeling shamed or belittled, especially when seeking help. Avoid this doctor if you want to be taken seriously and treated with dignity. Deserves 0 stars honestly.

Frustrated is an understatement regarding my recent experience at your clinic.

Firstly, I had some 3 tests done for my health in December, but when I returned to check my results, I was informed that 1 test results were lost and not recorded.

I had specifically booked an appointment in advance to see a female doctor, as I was seeking a cervix check and pap smear. However, when I arrived, I was informed that I would not be able to see the doctor I had requested, but instead, I would be seeing Dr. Frank?

In addition to the above, the receptionist discussed my private health matters, including the pap smear, loudly in front of other patients at the front desk. This is not only unprofessional but also a breach of patient confidentiality, which is illegal. I was humiliated by the lack of discretion and privacy, and I will be pursuing this matter further!!! Disgusting. She didn’t just stop when I asked her not to disclose further information she kept going and was back and forth on the phone with the other doctors.

I was also told that I could not see the female doctor I had requested because she only sees “her regulars.” This is unacceptable, as my health concerns were not addressed, and I was treated with a complete lack of respect.

Lastly, I was never notified that the clinic would be closed for two weeks, and I have not received any communication regarding the status of my results since December. This lack of communication and professionalism only adds to my frustration.

I have always appreciated the care provided by Dr. David and he is the best doctor but this recent experience has left me with serious concerns. I intend to ensure that the receptionist’s actions, particularly regarding the breach of my confidentiality, are addressed appropriately.

Dr David Hau is the most knowledgeable helpful and professional GP I have ever seen! The receptionist is respectful and helpful too. Lucky to have this clinic in the area!❤️

Minimal wait here is 1.5 hours even if you have an appointment, the doctors here will see u for about 5 mins before dismissing patient then they take about 45-1hr or so to see the next patient… what are they doing in their rooms for so long after each consult ?

Been going here since I was little and they have never been good.

- Receptionist is obnoxious and loud

- You are never seen on time

- Dr Crystal is terrible. That's why she's ALWAYS available. It's like she needs to visibly see that you are struggling to breathe in order for her to grant you a Medical Cert🤦🏽‍♀️

- One time I came here and was the only one in the waiting room. I had been waiting well over my scheduled time. I got up to leave and the receptionist told me to stay. She called Dr Crystal and immediately got me in asap all of a sudden. She literally had no patients🤦🏽‍♀️

Dr David and Dr Frank are good though.

I've been going here for years. The doctors are very competent. I normally see Dr. David and his have been supporting my whole family for years now. They are a bit busy right now due to their popularity, which is not a bad sign.

Didn't bother to let any patients know that they are closing for over 2 weeks whilst at an appointment days before they closed. Message on phone mentions nothing of any closure & google lists it as open, so didn't bother updating that either!!Drive down there only to find out it's closed 16/12-6/1/25!!! Need a referral reprinted, nope, nobody available, so my specialist appointment has had to be cancelled today!!! Really shocking customer service 😡
