Did you know haggling in the Pharmacy is a thing? Posh prices for posh postcodes are something we know about from the big supermarket chains. But even they would know not to price-gouge to a point of charging over 100% more for a product in store compared to their online equivalent. Granted pharmacies will have different prices between in-store and online - maybe a few dollars more, sure - all businesses have to have an at-cost and at-retail margin, but when a product is $17 in their own Online store ( as well as the main competitors), and then Chempro Bulimba charges you $38 for it in store when the at-cost price is $12, you just wonder if Brand Reputation forms any part of their Business model. And the haggling bit? Well, it turns out as soon as, (or maybe if), you raise this, an opportunity is presented to ‘let’s see if we can do a better price for you’ and you can then ask to be charged the price advertised online. So 1 star for a terrible profiteering practice, but bumped up a star for ease of refund.
