Both of our sons recently had knee surgery at BPH a couple of months apart, and we were very impressed with all aspects of their stay. Every single member of staff and the volunteers were cheerful, helpful, kind and welcoming. We felt our sons were receiving the highest level of care in a warm and accommodating manner. Thank you to all, you should be very proud of yourselves.

Excellent experience for my child and us as parents. All nurses, staff and Drs were kind and caring. The paediatric areas were fantastically thought out and well provisioned and there was a great selection of child friendly food offered. We liked the self serve approach, rather than waiting on the nurses to bring food. Overall this was our fourth day surgery experience and was by far the best. Thanks to all for making our stay comfortable and pleasant.

Fantastic nurses, amazing support, spacious rooms, the only place I would want to recover from a craniotomy. I’m currently 4 nights into a 7 night stay after having surgery.
The staff on Level 3 in the neuro ward made my recovery as less stressful as it could be.
Very kind, polite, knowledgeable and supportive. I had input in my care, was explained everything that was happening or going to happen and all of my questions were answered.
The meals were delicious and the care I received I can’t not fault. Being away from home is hard especially when you’re in pain, but the nurses caring for me made my stay as pleasant as it could be.
I highly recommend the neurology ward, the world needs more nurses like you guys! Thank you for all your support!

On Friday, 30 September, I was admitted to Brisbane Private Hospital for a knee replacement operation to be performed by Dr John Gallagher. I was very well prepared for the operation by John and his excellent team in his rooms, the operation was a real success and aftercare superb. For the first night I was cared for in ICU because I was off my usual blood thinners and was supported extremely well by caring and helpful nurses and doctors. After that night I was moved to an orthopedic ward where I was excellently looked after by wonderful nurses and expert physiotherapists.
However, early on Friday, 4 October, when I was supposed to be going home, I experienced significant chest pains. I lay down but the pains did not subside so I called for attention and nurse Joann came quickly. I informed her of my problem and she sought assistance from her leader, Jodi, who soon involved a doctor and nurse from ICU. Quickly an ECG was taken and a blood sample extracted. The point of this is to indicate that positive action was taken quickly. I was moved to ICU where further steps were taken to ensure my comfort and safety. All of this was carried out without causing me any alarm which is a credit to the professional and caring manner of those involved.
I was kept informed of the procedures being used and my wife was contacted by Doctor Angela and, later in the morning by Dr Wayne Kelly. They helped my wife a great deal in coping with the situation. Nurse Chloe was a major support for me in ICU. I was fortunate to have her care for me in the orthopedic ward so having her assisting in ICU as well was a bonus for me. Subsequently, further tests were undertaken and the decision taken that I should be transferred to St Andrews where there is a Cardiology Department. That transfer was arranged and performed late that afternoon.
In St Andrews, I was informed I had experienced an aborted heart attack and I believe the Brisbane Private Hospital staff had been instrumental in taking steps which saved me from much more serious consequences. Now six weeks after the initial knee replacement operation at Brisbane Private Hospital and some balloon expansion in a minor artery and the insertion of a stent in a major artery in St Andrews all is going well for me.
I am really thankful for the wonderful medical and nursing assistance and care I have been afforded in both hospitals.

I just had a 5 night stay in the rehab unit at south Brisbane for a ketamine infusion, the staff were fantastic so friendly and always happy to help and nothing was overlooked. Room was brilliant and even had really lovely steak and chicken for lunch and diners. Self help kitchen was amazing and all the nurses were fantastic. Thank you for everything it was a very good experience for me.

Very clean and the rooms are quite spacious. Getting around the hospital can be challenging as the signage are quite confusing. Similar to majority of hospitals parking is quite expensive. The train station is a better option. It is around 550m from the train station. The staff are brilliant and helpful. The meals are quite tasty . My husband who is an Army Veteran was admitted here for a shoulder reconstruction. The staff to patient ratio is impressive. However, in terms of delivery on nursing care plan pretty dissapointing. Lack of attention from nursing department. I had Krystal(attending nurse on duty)on the second day after surgery. Not only did she lack compassion, uncaring. She might be in the wrong profession. (I will definitely bring this feedback to her Nursing Supervisor attention)
On the other hand, Dr. Cutbush Shoulder Surgeon even checked up on my husband right after the ops. Just shows how caring and professional he truly is. Dr. Cutbush went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Dr. Cutbush and to his wonderful team for looking after my husband while he was admitted at the hospital. ⭐⭐⭐👍👍⭐

Had day surgery here 31.10.24 and was amazed by the wonderful treatment I received from everyone - the extremely helpful gentleman on the welcome desk right through to the discharge staff with special thanks to two wonderful ladies, Nurse Helen and Nurse Karen, who put me completely at ease.
My thanks to my surgeon Dr. Nathan Schaefer for his top skills, professionalism and reassuring manner and to my anesthetist Dr.Martin Misevski and the reassuring information he gave me the day before. I felt so much more at ease.

Be careful when coming here, wether as an employee or a patient. I had a surgery done here and had to stay over night. During this stay, I was treated very poorly by the nurses, bacuase some of the equipnment of theirs wasnt working properly, causing an alarm to go off every 30min or so, waking me up at least 15 times during the night. The nurse was very rude about it and it felt like she was blaming me for her equipment failure. 10 out of 10 will Never go back to this hospital.
