Horrible Experience with Dr. Georgina Konrat – Do Not Trust This Clinic!
I feel compelled to share my nightmare of a journey with Dr. Georgina Konrat at the Brisbane Cosmetic Clinic. I went in for a breast implant removal and replacement procedure, and what followed has been nothing short of disastrous.
From the start, Dr. Konrat did not properly consult with me. There was minimal discussion about the procedure, no discussion regarding what size and profile implants that would be used and I was not adequately informed about what to expect. After the surgery, my breasts were immediately asymmetrical, and I was told it was just swelling and would settle down. Unfortunately, the swelling subsided, but my breasts were still completely different sizes and shapes. The situation only worsened when I found out I had suture tails hanging out, something that was only discovered as I worked with a plastic surgeon who was kind enough to fix it for me.
To make matters worse, the nurse at the Brisbane Cosmetic clinic actually told me, as a fellow nurse, that I could cut my own sutures and that post-operative appointments were unnecessary. I should have been given proper care, but instead, I was left feeling completely disregarded. After seeking advice from reputable plastic surgeons, I decided to visit Dr. Konrat again, hoping for a resolution. By then, my breasts were not only asymmetrical but rolling outwards towards my armpits. The sutures were clearly not done correctly, and the implants were not properly secured.
During this second visit, Dr. Konrat was aggressive, defensive, and completely unprofessional. She insinuated that I was lying, suggesting I was simply never going to be satisfied with any surgeon’s work, and even suggested I had mental health issues. She denied her nurse telling me to cut my own sutures, and told me the same profile implant was used in each breast then later retracted her statement when I proved with the implant serial number reader that a different size and profile implant had been used. At that point, she agreed to cover her side of the revision surgery costs.
However, the worst was yet to come. Just a week before my revision surgery, I received a phone call from Dr. Konrat that left me in tears. She accused me of breaking her trust by questioning the charges on my invoice and went on to make personal insults, claiming that she “always knew I was trouble” and blaming me for issues with scheduling. She showed no remorse, no empathy, and no accountability for her mistakes. The personal attacks were uncalled for and completely unprofessional.
Now, I'm left disfigured, with thousands of dollars lost—not just from the surgery itself but from the time I've had to take off work due to her failed procedures and the emotional distress caused. Dr. Konrat's lack of professionalism, accountability, and compassion is shocking.
I strongly urge anyone considering breast surgery to avoid Dr. Georgina Konrat and her clinic. While she may charm you into agreeing to surgery, when things go wrong, she will quickly turn on you. Do yourself a favor—save your money and go to a certified, experienced plastic surgeon who will treat you with the care, respect, and professionalism you deserve.

This comes ten years after breast augmentation from here and felt compelled to speak out as now I can see what a lazy job was done that I paid for and in hindsight so ignorant and initially mesmerised by such a charismatic woman.
Initial consult was quick. Was told under the muscle wasn’t an option. Told the shape best for me. I had no clue I agreed. I woke up post surgery and was told she nearly went two different sizes to get them the same size, given the SILUMED official numbers etc and off I went. A Few weeks post surgery my left breast had a weird shape to it and horrifically realised my implant had FLIPPED! My implants are flat on the back with rounded front as suggested by dr Konrat. Out of my mind I went in (I live 6 hours away luckily I was in Brisbane) she simply lifted my top, twisted and prodded the boob, it finally went back the right way and then acted like it was absolutely normal nothing to worry about. On further appointments for other skin treatments I was told maybe I need a lift which could be done in the office not the hospital for around $1500 extra (from memory) which freaked me out knowing life’s are generally much more invasive and the clinic is a beautiful but non hospital environment.
Now here we are ten years later. I cannot wear no sports bra to bed otherwise my implants constantly flip dis shaping my breasts, and I have found out silumed has warnings on the specific type that was implanted (I have regular sharp pains from one breast in particular) and when I had to contact them about this not the other way around it was another situation of not really caring. I now have boobs that when I bend over I can flip. I guess I can do magic tricks.
Don’t do it. Sorry but do your research and find someone else

I had high hopes for this cosmetic filler procedure, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The consultation felt rushed, and the provider didn't seem to take my concerns seriously. During the procedure, I felt quite a bit of discomfort, and the results were far from what I expected.

Instead of the enhancement I wanted, my face looks 5x worse off. I tried to voice my dissatisfaction afterward, but the clinic's response was dismissive. They were more focused on selling me additional treatments rather than addressing the issues I had with this one.

Overall, this experience has left me feeling frustrated and disheartened. I regret choosing this clinic and would not recommend them to anyone seeking cosmetic fillers. The Doctor was condescending, and during consultation made derogatory and embarrassing remarks about the area of my face that I wanted to fill. I should have ran at this point. The costs was ridiculously overpriced for the poor results and level of skill of the lady Doctor. I am considering surgery now to fix what mess she's created.

Dr Konrat was absolutely fabulous. I can’t rate her highly enough. She did my removal and replacement of breast implants, which were well past their used by date. It was a more difficult surgery than expected as my previous implants were very hard to remove after 19 years, (the ultrasound imaging she ordered before the surgery did not indicate this) and I am very grateful she decided, prior to ultrasound results, not to put the new ones into the existing pocket back under the muscle anyway. She repaired my muscle after the difficult removal, and placed the new implants above the muscle. Prior to surgery I went for a second opinion with a far more expensive and well known plastic surgical clinic in the city for peace of mind and was told that it would “ just be easier to use the existing pocket under the muscle “, a far more invasive, painful, and much longer recovery. I decided to go with Dr Konrat as her 35 years of cosmetic surgical experience, expertise in this particular procedure, and results which I had seen pictures of, put my mind at ease. Plus, the thoroughness of her consultations x 2 left all my questions answered and my mind at ease, which was more than I could say for the other other practice. I felt rushed through at that practice like they just wanted my money and they were going to charge $6K more. I was quite shocked once I got their quote. I highly recommend Dr Georgina Konrat to anyone who is searching for a great aesthetic result but also wants surgery by a highly qualified Cosmetic Surgeon with decades of experience, as I came to learn before making my decision. Her results speak for themselves and I couldn’t be happier, they look and feel better than before, plus she is also a lovely person who actually took the time to listen. Lovely clinic, lovely staff, fantastic surgical results with a surprisingly easy recovery. Great experience all round. Thanks a mill x

Dr Georgina was absolutely amazing from start to finish through the whole process of my breast augmentation surgery. She listened and understood what I wanted to achieve and offered helpful advice. She answered all my questions and was happy to communicate everything. She did amazing work with my surgery!! Absolutely flawless, I’ve never been happier!! She made me feel very welcomed from the moment I walked in. And throughout the whole process of the consultation, booking the surgery and follow up appointments she made it so simple, I didn’t have to worry about anything and I knew I was in good hands!! I would 10/10 recommend seeing Dr Georgina for any cosmetic needs. The staff are absolutely lovely too!! Thank you so much Dr Georgina!!

Overall I would not recommend. I'll start off by giving the pros, fairly reasonably priced not fantastic but not excessive and over all outcome of procedure not horrendous. The cons would be when Dr conrat came through for surgery on the day she forgot who I was and asked me how the kids were even though we had specifically talked in our initial check up I hadn't wanted kids. She then proceeded to tell me that her last two surgerys of the morning hadn't gone to plan so here's hoping this one did. Which to say the least wasn't reassuring at all. At the initial consult we had discussed the reations I usually get with a particular type of drug and that she would also prescribe an additional drug to counteract this, she said it was very important for my safe healing that I take this additional prescription after surgery.

What I didn't realize is as soon as you fully come to from surgery they send you to the chemist with your multiple scripts and you go home to recover. Because I was so woozey and only been mere hours from surgery I hadn't realized in the scripts she gave me she didn't give me the most important one we had spoken about. She then reissued the script to my chemist the next day, being in extreme pain the next morning and really shouldn't have been out of bed I went to the chemist to collect as this was my only option and when I got there found she had sent the wrong medications, almost beside myself in pain having waiting for the wrong script to be processed I called the office to in form them of the mistake and the most rudest admin staff interaction took place she was beyond nasty with absolutely no compassion, when I tried to explain the circumstances she said she didn't like my tone and would hang up, when I tried to explain my just panicked as I've just had surgery in extreme pain and need the correct prescription she was what can only be described as a power play. nasty to say the least. Dr konrat then didn't own her mistake at all or even acknowledge it and got annoyed by me inconveniencing her.
When I went to the check up she changed the time and tried to tell me what busniess hours my own job were, when i explained i wasnt the usual 9-5 and living in far north sunny coast was over a 3 hour drive so i had to rearrange with work she said well then dont come. I calmly had to talk her down and once rebooked at the check up she tried to force me to take photos of my body, I told her I wasn't comfortable with this and she just kept repeating: legally I have to take photos, and was absolutely relentless. She then informed me she already took photos during my surgerywhich obviouslybeing drugged up i had no prior knowledge of. I'm so glad I stood my ground and tried to get out of the asap as I did my research and there is no such law whatsoever of being obligated to take photos. she then carried on to say that now days there's so much paperwork involved it takes the joy out of her job. It is very clear this doctor has lost all passion and any form of empathy I do not recommend this clinic at all unless you are very strong minded and capable of standing up for yourself in the most vulnerable of moments. (There was one very nice admin staff named Yolande so this review isn't directed at her) I know people like this never change but in an ideal world would read this as a wake up call

If I could give this clinic 6 stars, I would! Dr Konrat has been absolutely amazing with my treatments and has made me feel so confident about my body again. Her receptionist and nurses are fabulous too, always make you feel welcomed and always bubbly. I couldn’t have been more lucky to come across such a wonderful service to help me along with my journey. Thank you so much for everything you do ladies! Highly recommend this clinic if you’re ever looking for one!

For care, consideration and a great patient journey, this clinic tops the list. I had surgery and skin treatment, a few years apart. I'll be going back there next time I need treatment. Both Dr Konrat and Nurse Molly kept me fully informed about what to expect, shepherded me through the process, and made sure the after-care was first-rate. And the results were better than I'd hoped for in both cases. Thanks, Brisbane Cosmetic Clinic! Love your work!
