I am glad to have become a patient at Brighton Medical Clinic, and am very pleased with my choice of GP, Dr Katriona Ross. I hope she is equally satisfied with acquiring me! The whole experience is positive. From the friendly and helpful receptionists who sort out details on the phone and deal with any extra matters, to the relaxed yet welcoming and attentive atmosphere in the waiting area, to the thorough and meticulous care from Katriona, it's all good. Not forgetting the notifications via SMS and email. Thank you, everyone, for providing a stable GP service which for various reasons I have found difficult to locate in recent years. They are no longer the old family GP who came to the house and sat on your bed and pronounced you full of measles or mumps - but they are as close to the modern equivalent as today's world allows.

Receptionist Chloe gossiping to other receptionist about a mother calling on behalf of the patient who is 21yo to book an appointment.
Extremely unprofessional behaviour, regardless if in front of other patients or privately.

Dr Mary Hanna had to be asked twice before she would put on rubber gloves to inspect sensitive area. She also suggested that I use a medication that I said I’m allergic to as well it being noted on my file. Dr Hanna was only open to suggesting a different medication after I refused to take the original prescription.

Brighton Medical Centre has accepted the doctors from my previous clinic when their/our building had to close, so I have been attending Carpenter St for some months now.
I like the 'homely' atmosphere that is achieved by retaining some semblance of the original houses. The sharing of consulting rooms between doctors adds to this friendly atmosphere. The office staff are obviously friendly with the doctors, and there is a quietly warm vibe about the waiting room. Service is always helpful and efficient.
