I went up to the Satellite Hosp on New Year's day @ 1:30pm with a mask on my face.I had rang earlier to see if it was OK to attend there as I had a bad cough. I found the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and also informed me the Dr would not be in till 10am. I was welcomed with 2 smiling receptionist ( male and female) They took my information and obviously had medical knowledge of illnesses and understood immediately of the blood pressure reading I took at home just before I left to go up there. I was put into a curtained room. Staff introduced themselves on each entry and explained what they needed to do. The Dr came in, very polite with a smile and explained he was very concerned so blood tests were done and verified of results right there and then. Same with the X-ray. Due to his concerns ( Dr Ted Chamberlain) he spoke with? at the Caboolture Hosp and I was sent there by ambulance @ 5:30pm. Also being admitted there. I so much appreciate the dedication of all doctors and nurses, paramedics, nurse aids, cares

Doctor was wonderful, only waited 2 hours on a Saturday evening. 15th February) My only complaint is the nurse that administered medication to me, said “I just washed my hands” and proceeded to break a tablet in half with her bare hands. This happened in front of me. Yuck! I was so exhausted and in pain, I said nothing but I believe this is really poor hygiene practices and would hope it never happens again.

Excellent treatment and professionalism shown by all staff at my visit today. Saved me waiting a week for an appointmen at my local doctors to be treated for a minor infection. A great asset for Bribie Island residents. On my second visit I waited nearly two hours and left without seeing a doctor. I understand there were higher priority patients waiting so these issues will reoccur.

Not a good experience. I arrived hospital very unwell with some gastro disease and pregnant with severe dehydration, shaking and pain. They let me wait for 5 hours and meanwhile applied an injection that put me in more distress. After finally saw the doctor tell me because pregnant I had to go and wait again not sure how many hours to Caboolture Hospital to receive some fluids. They could perfectly provide fluids for my dehydration and sickness in this hospital but they didn’t at all and left me in so much distress being pregnant! Pregnant women need prompt care and effective care they don’t provide that. if you feel very unwell go straight to the hospital don’t waste or harm your health and your baby trying to get help.

I've fortunately only had to avail myself of their services once for minor wound care but they were friendly and efficient, did a great job.
I can't stress how vital this service is so you don't have to wait 8 hours in an ED or wait a week for a GP.

Brother in law out from NZ. Has a terrible rash. First doctor says allergy sent home. 4 days later sees another doctor says could be psoriasis. Blood tests done. 3 days later no contact from the hospital after the doctor says she will let us know. Phoned the hospital extremely unhelpful receptionist. Told to go and see his GP. Doesn’t have one as visiting. Will pass on message to doctor if she is on duty today. Very abrupt!!! Bribie this is just not good enough. I will personally travel to Caboolture if this is their attitude.

Upon arrival I was speaking with a nurse then bombarded with abrupt questions from a second person - I still do not know the name or designation of this young female person as she made no formal introduction. Her body language was extremely negative, arms folded and sour look on her face whilst abruptly asking me personal questions in ear view of other patients in waiting room. To be honest, it felt more like an interrogation due to abruptness.

I did point out that I found her mannerisms abrupt.

I am a nurse myself and have always introduced myself to patients in a friendly manner and always explained the reasons of any personal questioning to the patient and have never experienced two TWO people questioning a patient at the same time.

I found the whole experience disappointing and would advise more training for inexperienced staff in customer service.

I unfortunately did not have the best experience. The ladies at the front/nurses were beautiful and helpful however the Dr was a bit rude and arrogant. After diagnosing my son with just a rash from a cold and dismissing my call later that afternoon about it spreading a lot, and telling me to not use my phone while in consult I was told to go home and that he would be fine. Next morning I woke up and my sons eyes feet and hands were swollen. I then had to go to caboolture ed as the rash was from an allergic reaction that had gotten worse overnight. My son is 2. Very terrifying
