PALLIATIVE CARE
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion provided by Carly Allen, the Palliative Care nurse at Bowral Community Health Centre who came to our home during my mother's final weeks. Carly went above and beyond our expectations, and her dedication to her work was truly remarkable.
Carly's knowledge and expertise in palliative care were outstanding. She demonstrated a deep understanding of my mother's needs and provided the highest level of care throughout her time with us. Her ability to communicate effectively and educate us on how to cope with the situation was invaluable.
What truly sets Carly apart is her unwavering compassion. Despite having her son's birthday the next morning and having already worked a long day, she stayed with us well beyond her finishing time. Her willingness to go the extra mile and provide comfort during our moments of distress was truly touching.
Carly's genuine care for both my mother and our family was evident in every interaction. She not only provided physical care but also emotional support, ensuring that we felt supported and understood during this difficult time. Her presence brought a sense of calm and reassurance to our home. She must go home at night utterly exhausted and drained. I don’t know how she does it.
