I have been to see Sage at Bowral Accupuncture for two separate pain issues one for my shoulder which was giving me grief for weeks and was pain free after one treatment and a second for a foot issue that gave me pain which was only getting worse as time went on. After being diagnosed with Bells Palsy at 6.5 months pregnant, I was recommended acupuncture as a means of aiding quicker recovery and reduced pain. I’d never had acupuncture before so wasn’t sure what to expect.
I went into my 1st session with Sage feeling incredibly self conscious, anxious and full of pain. After 4 sessions over the course of 2 weeks, I had reduced tension in the left side of my face, neck and shoulder (the affected side), complete pain removal, a softer complexion on the paralysed side of my face and movement in my brow, eye and mouth had started to return. The prognosis for Bells can be a lengthy one and I am of firm belief that Sage and his acupuncture techniques assisted in shortening my recovery quite significantly. I went to see Sage after 2 physios, 2 occupational therapists and a massage therapist had failed to make any improvement whatsoever to a very painful repetitive strain/ tendinitis in both my forearms and hands. I had been forced to give up most activities and work that I enjoyed due to the problem, and was in despair. I’ve been to see Sage for a couple of issues, and both times treatment has exceeded my expectations in terms of relief and longer term healing. Firstly I had neck, shoulder and back pain which was causing me huge discomfort and I couldn’t stretch it out. Treatment has fixed this issue for me - a few months later it’s not returned.

Secondly after becoming pregnant I required remedial massage/acupuncture to relieve hip and gluteal pain and also sought treatment to alleviate first trimester fatigue and nausea. I walked out again floating on air, and symptoms disappeared straight away. 2 weeks later I’m still feeling much better and haven’t had repeat problems. I’m also a big believer in acupuncture being able to regulate cycles. I’ll be going to see Sage regularly throughout pregnancy to keep me feeling well.
