Have been attending this practice for years and as of late it is just not what it used to be. There are only 3 doctors left and 2 of those are private appointments only. When you need to book an appointment you’ll be waiting a week minimum to see the only non private doctor not to mention wait times are always at least 30 minutes. Receptionists are lovely but the practice needs to work on the service.

I've been to this dr place for many years, and over time it had gotton worse due to the amount of people going there. It's so hard to book unless you wanna pay for private (which not many people can afford all the time) VERY FRUSTRATING. Receptionist is ok except for one. Don't waste your time at this place and find a better one.

Phones are never answered , I tried calling numerous times to enquire about their pathology & all 10 times I was either hung up on or sent straight to voicemail.
I’m not one to complain so going out of my way to speak on an issue is saying alot.

Great medical practice. Yes it can be hard to get appointments, but they do try an accomodate where possible. And with the online app it’s even easier to make appointments. I’ve been seen most of the Dr’s at the centre and all are very thorough and professional. The receptionist Bree is amazing. It makes you feel good knowing they actually care

I’ve been going to BFMC since I was a child and now I bring my own children. Like any healthcare provider, yes, they are busy and get very busy so often your appointments maybe late. However, I think it is to be expected and when you are receiving a consultation, I very much doubt that you would be ungrateful for the thoroughness of the doctors. I am disappointed to have so many negative reviews of this beloved practice and particularly Dr Stevens.
He is a very professional doctor and has so much care for his patience. He has very up-to-date knowledge and often goes above and beyond for his patients.
I have seen almost every doctor at the practice and I cannot fault any of them. In addition to this, all the receptionists are very lovely! There are definitely some concerns regarding bulk billing and private appointments however this is not the practice’s fault but more of a systematic failure.
And to those leaving negative reviews regarding really trivial matters, perhaps instead of being a keyboard warrior, you can address these matters when they arise?

The appointment times are never on time. I had a booked appointment at 9.00am and waited over an hour until I cut my losses and walked out. Pretty standard for this Medical centre.

It is so difficult to make an appointment to see the doctors recently.

To make an appointment, I have to call in between 8am and 830am to find out if I am lucky to book in a place to see a doctor. The stress of making an appointment is not less than to trying to win campaign.

The worse part is , if there is no booking available in the same day or the next day that you are calling in , the reception staff will definitely not let you to make a booking on the days after then.

BUT, the reception staff said, that I can make a "Private Appointment " with the doctors with a payment which is outside the Medicare cover. What ?

I am asking myself , being a patient in Bonnyrigg Family Medical Centre for more than 20 years, should I still call this Doctors my GP ?

Nice staff & great doctors. Receptionist are always kind & polite. Been seeing Dr Stevens for appointments for a few years now; I’ve found he is very reliable & friendly. Only downside is it needs a patient bathroom.
