Service is disgusting, the way they treat their residence and have no care is appalling. The place may look nice but, is not safe or somewhere you want your loved ones. I times the staff for how long it would take for them to get to the room and they never even arrived. I think it’s safe to say I am livid.

"Easy going" is a how i could best summarize Tantula Rise in a diplomatic restrained way. Most or half the staff are friendly, caring and reliable, family can visit and leave any time, and there is a big garden. That is about the limit of positives. On multiple occasions I observed no towels in my fathers bathroom and it took much effort from me to make them place enough towels for all residents in the dementia section. The excuse was laundry delivery times. Some days of the week there are no cleaners working and no laundry staff, with untrained personal assistants having to take up the roles (for which they told me they sometimes do not have the time).
Many table top activities are available for women, but exercise for men is limited to stretching. The only time the residents are taken outside is for a weekly drive in the bus, but the residents cannot leave the bus (limited staff to accompany them). Complaints and requests are sometimes dealt with well, but at other times at all levels are dealt with slowly, poorly, or not at all. Note the company reply below my comment that I can speak with relevant staff about the issues, which I did too many times to mention. Also notice their reply states "The health and well-being of our residents is a priority for us". which is telling, because it is very much only "a priority" amongst other priorities such as expenditure on staff hours and protecting their backs, and not from my experiences the top priority.
When my father had a stroke which led to him passing a few day later, they stuffed around and waited one hour between phone chats with the doctor before deciding to call me and tell me of his stroke, when I am actually his power of attorney and only family nearby. When I called and asked to speak with personal assistants involved about what actually happened, the unfriendly diversional therapist told me I`m not allowed to speak with those staff. I have since been told by the investigating regional supervisor merely that she lacked care and empathy and will be monitored. All those negligent staff have been permitted to keep working there. Good luck !

My father was with Bolton Clark for a long time. The staff are very friendly and will do anything they can for you, it was such a shame that he had to say goodbye to they this week. There was lots of tears from both sides. This was due to D.V.A. such a shame very lovely staff. We will miss them in our lives.
He said if he has to go into a nursing home that is where he wants to go.

While the staff may be lovely & friendly the Doctors are non caring & lacking the skills or time to bother about the patients. Some of the RN 's also are straight out of training with no experience. I am planning on writting a letter to the AMA regarding a particular Doctor .
The meals are also prepared off-site & delivered to the home not the best.
Very little activities, as all the do is go for a drive. At the Bolton Clarke in Bundaberg the residents are taken to a club or Sugar land once a fortnight for a meal or coffee. This home offeres no stimulation at all.
