Dr Sandy Moore was a great GP and I was incredibly happy with her but since she's left and I've had to switch to a different doctor here, I've had an awful experience every time. I've been dealing with chronic health issues for over a year now and the new doctor I have has sent my surgical referral to the wrong catchment area multiple times. I've followed up 4 times and nothing has changed, I now have to go to a new GP as I genuinely feel I will not get treated correctly by the current practitioner. It doesn't help that they are also rude and generally not empathetic in the slightest.

The best medical centre in Brisbane, Better Access Medical provides primary care GP services alongside QuIHN who provides support for those struggling with substance abuse.

I don’t have experience with QuIHN but the GPs I’ve seen here have been the best I have seen in Brisbane. They may be operating on a tight budget, currently unable to see new patients and they absolutely deserve more funding from Medicare, but the quality of care they provide is comprehensive and egalitarian whilst still being bulk billed.

I would like to enrol into the MyMedicare program with them so they can get more funding per visit but unfortunately they aren’t able to just yet.

I currently see Dr Derbyshire who is an amazing, super intelligent, compassionate doctor and the Nurse I have seen there was the same, she took the time to go through all of my history to figure out which vaccinations would be best for me, the standard of care is outstanding. The Reception staff are just as helpful, kind and supportive as the medical staff.

I hope they are able to hire more GPs and provide care to more patients in the future.

Dr Isabel is fantastic. She always actively listens to me and takes the time to explain everything in depth. Even when I have come to her with a million things in a shorter appointment, she didn’t rush me or brush anything off. I have recommended her and the clinic to lots of people and will keep returning even when I move out of the area.

Reception staff are also always very friendly and given they don’t have the easiest job at times they do their best under stressful situations. Hats off ladies 🙂

I have always had a great experience here. They are considerate, caring and really want to help those who they treat. I enjoy seeing Gary for my blood tests and we always have a good chat. Dr. Derbyshire is also very understanding and she will offer great opinions! I understand that some people are annoyed by waiting but sometimes these things happen and I am always willing to wait (which has only happened once but with another doctor).

I found out about Better Access Medical online. I made an appointment, and the Doctor i saw was Dr Sandi Moore.. Doctor Moore is quite a good listener, and pulls no punches when giving me advice! Sandi is a fantastic Doctor! My previous GP of 3 years never listened to what i had to say, Sandi is all ears! I could not recommend Dr Moore more highly. She is the epitome of a good bedside manner! Thanks Dr Moore, i'm so pleased i found you!!!

Girls at the reception were helpful. However, Dr Isabel Derbyshire was the worst experience I had with a doctor. I spent less than 2 minutes in her office and the only question she asked was “Do you need a prescription?”. Although I showed her my previous prescription, she showed no interest in it and rushed me out of her office. I had to go back 3 times as my prescription was not right. I will definitely go back to the clinic but will see a different doctor.

My first visit and I had a caring experience. Dr.Alexander Moore is a great listener and an excellent doctor. Thank you. I will be going back. She was also the only doctor to explain Pain Management to me and how it works. Please use your maps when travelling there the first time, I ended up across the road where One Shot coffee is as there are doctors on that corner as well.
