Review for urgent care. I phoned in to discuss a concern and I wasn't sure if I should go to ED or wait a few weeks for an appointment with regular GP. They listened to my concerns and booked me in for a urgent care appointment. The nurse and doctor were both very friendly and professional. They gave me referrals for follow up tests and called me as well with the results and forwarded it to me GP to do ongoing care. Thank you for the wonderful service on a Sunday night.

I would rate 1 star, but the Doctor I was seeing was an absolute legend - one of the only Doctors in recent years who had ever addressed my issues and was amazing in helping me. A Huge thanks to Dr James Gray!

However, the reason for such a harsh review is because this clinic has been extremely incompetent is assigning me a new Doctor since Dr Gray left.
I have called a few times over the last month to try and get an appointment, but they keep telling me to call back "x, y, z" many days later. I usually do, but got the same answer of please call back.
So while I have been wanting to see a Doctor, this clinic keeps failing to accommodate a new GP since my now former GP has left.

Terrible booking system that wastes people's time and made our newborn miss out on being seen. We booked our newborn in online for an appointment for some feeding concerns and appointment was shown as confirmed. Then 15 minutes out from the appointment it changed within the app to declined. We called reception and was given no explanation of why that would happen, but only that the doctor had gone home for the day (at 1:15pm) so nobody else could see us until next week. We then asked if a nurse could at least weigh our baby to check if they were feeding enough, were told no because the nurses cannot weigh babies without a doctor present but we could "go to emergency if we thought he needed someone immediately ". Absolutely pathetic and indifferent approach to patient care, especially when there is a newborn involved.

I had my appointment cancelled 4 hours beforehand, 3 weeks ago. It was something in which I had to take time out of work to attend and travel to. It was something that was previously discussed as a service available and willing to be conducted onsite. The receptionist that I spoke to unfortunately I don't think knew the process as told me a different thing each time; it was not a commonly practiced GP service (which I work in a GP clinic and know to be untrue), I would need a referral (also untrue) or I could book an initial consultation in to discuss (again.) I was refused care on the day, and reception were not willing to accommodate despite their error. I ended up having to call my previous clinic to request a once off appointment due to refusal of care. I since emailed management, and have addressed them 2 times in the last 3 weeks with no acknowledgement or response received. It is sad that I have to submit this via a public reviews system, to know that I will get a response regarding my complaint.

I thought these clinics were meant to take the pressure off hospital emergency departments. There was only one patient waiting when my husband and I arrived. I explained that my husband had very high blood pressure and that the only two doctors in our town were away for three months. The very rude receptionist said they couldn't help us because if his blood pressure was that high they would just call an ambulance. Her advice - walk to the emergency department. Not far, but that's not the point. When we got to the hospital, the first thing the triage nurse did was take his blood pressure.

Rude receptionist and nothing “urgent” about this care. Replace the receptionist and allow walk ins, not “come back with your sick son at night time in the cold so he can get worse”. No compassion at all and can’t explain why there’s ridiculous wait times either.

The receptionist, "Penny", made me stand on the side of the road outside the clinic with a burst and bleeding ear drum because she mistakenly marked me as being contagious. Even after I explained to her that I'm not contagious and that I just have a burst ear drum she argued with me and was incredibly rude and said I wasn't allowed in the clinic. She lied and said when I made the booking i said I had a sore throat, which was never said because my only issue was literally the burst ear drum.

Thankfully the doctor I saw was fantastic and was able to help me out. I definitely don't think someone with so little care should be at the front desk of an urgent care clinic though.

Knew more about my condition from Google than doctor here was able to assess. Made a booking for 8 pm. Waited for a hour before doctor came in and told me what she thought was wrong with me in the first 10 seconds and asked me no questions anc did not do a physical examination. Unethical. I had to ask for further testing / antivirals myself because I knew she was wrong. Nurses were lovely . Next day I went to the local hospital in Castlemaine and they did a proper thorough assessment with questions and a physical exam and diagnosed me correctly and were brilliant. I would not recommend the GPs here based on my experience.
