I cannot believe the level of care and patience and professionalism of all the staff at this hospital. From the Emergency staff at the front counters to the cleaners that ensure the hospital is kept immaculately clean.
The emergency staff are absolutely incredible, the nurses and Dr.’s are amazing, beautiful souls. I have seen many hospitals around Melbourne and Victoria and this one I have to say is one of the best, We are so incredibly lucky to have such a world class facility on our doorstep. The staff are often young and active and on the ball and extremely polite.
The Doctors are incredible and work closely as a team, there is so much knowledge at this hospital and they pull together and use it treating each client with the highest of individual care.
The nurses really are the highlight at this hospital, they are friendly, professional and down to earth. They work so incredibly hard all the while maintaining a respectful and friendly relationship with patients, families and each other.
To be honest, I was planning to move back up into the hills, after this incident and discovering just how good a hospital this is I have decided to stay here and not move away. Thank you again to all the staff at the hospital, especially the Nurses and Doctors. You guys are Champions 💙🩷💚💜😇🙋🏻‍♂️🥰

I had an outstanding experience with Bendigo Health. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was treated with kindness, respect, and professionalism. The staff—both medical and administrative—were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. The facilities are modern, clean, and well-organized, and I felt confident knowing I was in good hands. The doctors and nurses took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable at every stage. It's reassuring to know that such high-quality healthcare is available locally. Highly recommend Bendigo Health to anyone seeking excellent medical care!

My experience was through the maternity ward.
I truly can't express how grateful I am to ALL staff. Who showed genuine concern for my well being and care. From drs to nurses to food attendants to cleaners. Literally every single encounter with staff was amazing and I am so proud to say I was lucky enough to have to have travelled to experienced this hospital. Truly cannot thank them enough!!!!

My experience was with womens clinic and midwives. Jorgie delivered my first baby and I cant thank her enough, supportive and comforting.. she really is there for the love of her job. She stayed from start to finish of my birth and even skipped her dinner to assure I was looked after and taken to my room afterwards. Then returned the next night on her shift to say hello and check in. An absolute legend. The rest of the care team I dealt with there was also amazing. Thankyou for making my experience so positive. 💜🙏

My first visit to this Hospital was fantastic at the time - while I had forgotten the names of the Doctors who looked after me and treated my abscess, they were absolutely legends. One of them throughout the night kept apologizing for the long wait due to them being short staffed, and I kept reassuring him that considering the other patients around me that he was also treating; even I could admit I was the lowest priority - so assured him to take his time with me and to make sure everyone else got what they needed first.

However, my next few visits were really less than stellar.

Next time was due to feeling gravely sick only to find out I had COVID. This was a fairly standard consult, but I felt the Doctor who was attending was very displeased with me being there at all even despite me explaining I needed a PCR as per my workplaces request.

Had to go back a week later as requested by my workplace HR for another PCR, but the Doctors & Nurses flat refused to take one and gave me the excuse of "It is too expensive for the Hospital to do a PCR test" - even though it is the request of my Workplace to have one. They instead just signed a letter and sent me off.

Third visit a week later was the worst of the lot - Once again, needed a PCR as per workplace request; but I didn't even get triaged. The nurse just rolled her eyes, walked away, then returned half a minute later with 2 R.A.T Tests and told me to test myself at home.

I felt completely unheard at this Hospital and judging by other reviews and from what I've witnessed while being in the waiting room of ED - it's a very common pattern that occurs at this Hospital; especially with Mental Health patients. I've basically learned that if you are suffering a Mental Health crisis, you are better off screaming your problems at a Brick wall than you are trying to explain them to nurses here. At one point; I witnessed them trying to force a man out into the waiting room who was clearly distressed and scared to come out of the ED Department into what was a very packed full Waiting Area - the guy went so red it looked like he was about to blow steam out his ears. Even worse was hearing the nurse that was attending to him turn to the Security guards and straight up say to them that the man was "Absolutely Pathetic". If that is the kind of Mental Health support Bendigo Health provides, then they'd be better of shutting it down entirely.

It's just unfortunate that Bendigo Health is the only (Public) Hospital within the regional area; otherwise I'd be wanting to seek medical attention elsewhere.

I'd like to express my greatest thanks to the doctors and nursing staff in day surgery wards.

Came here for my EP study for my heart condition and I received patient centred care from the nurse and DOSA staff. They are all very professional, warm and always checks in with not only your wellbeing but also your comfortability.

The cardiologist is extremely professional and reassuring. He did a very good job on my procedure while still aligning to the patient's best interest.

I'm very grateful for the hospitality of bendigo health.

This Bendigo Health is a a disgrace to Australia’s Healthcare. The staff are racially profiling people and incompetent, we went to emergency department for a suspected case of aneurysm but it took us more than four hours to be entertained. When they finally called us to get the patient details, we were told that we are not entitled to use our present address here in Australia because we are Asian and not a permanent resident or a citizen and just a temporary work visa holder. We are just renting a whole house and been living here for 7 years already. We have our private medical insurance from here in Australia (Medibank) but they don’t want to honour it and very lazy to process the paperworks (they don’t even know how to do it). So we just paid all the necessary fees to get into this hospital to get proper treatment and avoid any further delays. They ignored the patients’ physical symptoms and misinterpreted the readings from the Ct scan and MRI. They sent us home with persistent pain and other symptoms that led to near death experience. We resorted to seek other health professionals that treated us equally in Melbourne and because it’s a serious case of blood clot in the brain. They took the case seriously until they are sure that the treatment is effective and the patient is improving after a month of confinement with zero bills because they know how to do their job with the private insurance that we have.
