I have been a patient at this clinic for years without major issues, but a recent experience left me deeply disappointed. My health has taken a downturn, and I’ve been feeling significantly worse than before. Concerned and eager to find the cause, I consulted my usual doctor, who provided me with a list of referrals for various tests. While most of the results came back negative, I continued to feel unwell.

Hoping for further guidance, I brought up a possible cause for my symptoms. To my shock, rather than addressing my concerns with professionalism and care, the doctor’s demeanor changed. He abruptly stood up, opened the door, and, in a dismissive tone, told me he wouldn’t investigate further because my symptoms were too mild and that doing so would be a waste of medical resources. As I tried to explain my medical history and recent travels—factors that I believed were relevant—his only response was a cold, “Good luck.”

I understand that not every concern warrants extensive testing, but I did not expect such indifference. A doctor’s role extends beyond diagnosing and prescribing—it includes educating patients, addressing concerns, and reassuring them with informed explanations. Instead of shutting me down, he could have simply taken a moment to clarify why additional tests were unnecessary. Patients come to a clinic with limited medical knowledge and often with a great deal of worry. Dismissing concerns outright, without even a basic explanation, only adds to that anxiety.

This experience has made me question the quality of care and empathy at this clinic. I hope they reflect on this and strive to treat patients with the patience and respect they deserve.

Have been a regular to the clinic for over a year. Spoke to an extremely rude male receptionist, who flatly refused an appointment. I understand it's busy time of the year and doctors are on holidays but the tone and the dismissiveness/ harshness is unacceptable. We pay for the service and least expect politeness. Will be moving to another clinic.

Extremely RUDE receptionist who treated me like a daft idiot. I will NEVER spend my money there. It's as if the receptionist thinks they are providing a free service. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Receptionist is very rude and unprofessional. My doctor is great would recommend (Tim) the saving grace of this place. But the other GP Ive seen there was terrible, borderline innapropriate and more than unhelpful a traumatic experience overall.

My usual GP moved to this clinic, so I booked an appointment through Bellbowrie Medical's booking platform called HotDocs. The system had all my info and asked for medicare etc, which I put in.

As I had seen the doctor before but not been to this particular clinic before, 'first consult' was not a viable option. I chose normal consult.

This morning (0800) I went in and endured a very unpleasant experience communicating with the female receptionist. (who is sat on the right hand side of the counter)

To simply put it: she was very rude, has little to no social skills, and doesn't want her workplace to have any of my business.

She also expected me to fill out a 4 page form even though I had given all that information, including medicare info through their booking platform they use. She said that the website doesn't give them that information. Well where does it go?

Although the doctor is fantastic, the reception was bad enough that I certainly won't have anything to do with their business.

I have been a long term patient navigating fibromyalgia and cPTSD under the care of Dr. Tim Uyeda. His care and professional approach to vocation, not job, has been paramount in my recovery and remaining among the present. I am sure I was not the easiest patient to contend with, however Dr. Tim (and the whole practice team) never wavered or flinched at all my chaos.

For chronic and complex issues, here is a GP that operates above and beyond the call.

I agree with you Anne, I'm a Bellbowrie local and have not had a single problem with any of the staff there. I had a problem with my health care card being invalid at the time of my visit, and the reception staff gave me the benefit of the doubt and still bulk billed me, and later that day after I had sorted my health care card out, I revisited them just to thank them for their kindness. I have absolutely no idea what these people are complaining about.
