I can not speak highly enough of this Emergency Department and their team!!! As someone with a very complex health history, who has now had to attend ED on 3 different occasions, all after hours and under 3 very different circumstances, I am blown away each time with the level of
care I have received and the way they have treated me with such dignity and understanding. Even with very rare conditions, the doctors have all had a somewhat basic understanding of them (which is not often found in our healthcare system) and they have never hesitated to taylor my care and treatment to my very specific circumstances!
My partner and I could not be more greatful to this team and not only their professionalism, but the way they treat their patients with genuine care and kindness!
I have never received this level of care in any other public OR private hospital!

Visited Beaudesert hospital last night at 10pm with an infected wound from cutting my finger and hand open to the bone. I was told and made to feel from the moment I was triaged that it wasn’t taken seriously and was told that I need to let it heal and that it takes time and it’s only been 3 days since the injury occurred.. although I was attending because the wound has become infected oozing with pus and extremely painful, very swollen and symptoms getting worse.
I sat and waited for 4 hours, after approaching 4 and a half hours I was then told to be expected to wait another 30mins to and hour, although there was only a couple of patients in emergency at the time.
I ended up leaving due to my bad experience at the hospital and will be attending another hospital to be seen and be taken seriously to prevent the infection spreading or worse circumstances.
I won’t be attending the hospital again.

I went in this morning after not being very well overnight, 33 weeks pregnant. I am a very reluctant person to access help from previous trauma with other QLD Health facilities. But, the nursing staff in ED this morning, and the AIN were incredible. Grateful for the AIN securing me an apple juice craving, given how dehydrated I was, and it immediately got my baby moving and I was able to keep down. Dr Brendan and his med student were kind, listened and made me feel like I was in good hands. The midwifery team were lovely in doing my CTG as well. I’m incredibly grateful for the care I got.
