My cat has seen both Gareth and Felipe who are wonderful vets. They explain things really well and are very kind. The vet nurses and reception staff are always warm and welcoming too. Highly recommend this practice.

What a caring team! We have found every interaction with Beachside Veterinary positive and helpful. It feels like they really love our kitten (animals in general). Hats off to Dr Dan for his professionalism and compassion on a Sunday night emergency call out. Thank you beachside.

Being a loyal customer and normally if I find a decent service I stick with them, BUT after the last few visits I am changing my VETS, being overcharged for essential protection you can get elsewhere from Pet Barn for $100 cheaper! the two free tablets work out $50.00 each. But turning up to an annual appointment early by 6mins not being acknowledge, weighed my own pet whilst waiting, then another client coming in after me getting acknowledged before me and 5mins after my appointment time! Hypocrisy as there is a sign on the rooms about patient delays.
I'm finding another Vet surgery. Maybe I should listen to the person on reception who mentioned Pet Barn to the previous client!

This morning I noticed a gorgeous black staffy wandering around Coolum streets while I was enjoying a coffee at a coffee shop. He didn’t have a name tag or contact number, just a Sunshine Coast Council tag.
So my friend posted on Facebook
Community Page and we took the lil fella to the closet vet, Beachside Vet in Coolum.

They were unhelpful, refused to take care of him and told me to take him to the pound. I was unable to do this as my dog was getting a little too friendly with him!! I didn’t want to risk driving them both to Zippy Downs.

Fortunately my friend found another friend to take care of him until the vet could find the owner.

I couldn’t believe the vet was so unkind and prepared to put the dog back on the streets where he may have been hit by a car.

I rang my own vet for advice and they said Beachside Vets should have taken in a stray dog, as they were the closest vet to where it was found.

If this is how Beachside Vets treat animals then I’m very glad they are not my vet.

Footnote: the owner eventually made contact so a happy end to the story.

Staff are lovely. Price is a rort. The medication I was given for my dog was for a cream and tablets. I was charged $140 for both. Found the same medication online for $20 - for both. Phoned the clinic and was told that I could have opted for a script for $30 to source my medication elsewhere. Would have been nice too know about the script prior to selling me the medication. No refund was possible due to having opened the cream and tablets.

If you visit this clinic ask for the script and purchase your medication elsewhere.
