I have been a patient at Batehaven Medical Centre for over 12 years and I have had great service from my Doctor and reception staff who are all friendly and polite and have helped very much in my own time going there and were great in helping my late father who also attended Batehaven Medical centre.

Dr George Kariotis prescribed my Mother with Valium and told her that if she didn't attend a counselling appointment he referred her to, he would not prescribe her with any more antidepressants or Valium. She did not attend the counselling appointment and also continued to drink alcohol etc and not only did he ignore my concerns, he increased the mg's of her Valium prescription.
When I asked to speak with him over the phone to assist me with getting my mother help, he refused to speak with me. The front staff were rude and disgusting. Wouldn't take my stuffed toy to them!
Oh, and just by the way George, she died!

Don't bother going in and asking to see a doctor they don't see new patients, on holidays my husband was sick. Asked them for advice, sent us to hospital. Lady at desk was not caring or supportive in anyway. Disgraceful, so rude, needs to learn how to speak to people or get a new job, did not have ro be rude about it.

Having lived in the area for almost 9 years part time and 2 years full time I dreaded the thought of finding a new Doctor. I rang Batehaven Medical Centre today and a wonderful receptionist was able to give me an appointment. Thank you all for the lovely prompt service I received today.

Terrible inhuman attitude,old patient not a new patient ,in need of medical assistance,denied,medical ombudsman will hear about this disgusting example.I was very sick,I tried to make appt,met with true ugly receptionist,I asked her to pass on message to doctor,I rang later ,she said she had past on message but no appt,then I discover doc has moved,terrible experience,never would I recommend this surgery ,no one should be treated in such a fashion,boycott corrigans medical centre.

Do you like to wait? This is the place for you. Do you like to be totally forgotten, even after checking in? THIS IS THE PLACE. I have been totally forgotten on two occasions. Once for 3hrs, even after asking multiple times how long the wait will be. If you have to make an appointment for your lunch break. Forget it. One hour will not be enough. After 6 years the shortest wait I had was 15 minutes (I'm happy with 15 minutes.) But the all to often 45minute or more wait is the norm. I think they just hate me. Now I just wait until the issue is bad enough and go straight to emergency.
