Never set foot in CenterWell in West Ashley SC if you know whats good for you....absolutely NO customer service...they just bounce you around from person & department to another...very incompetent! Only wish someone had warned me in advance!

As a type 1 diabetic with no health insurance, this place is a life saver. I have been going to Barrier for around 5 years. They have a friendly staff that is always ready to help. I highly recommend this clinic. Great people!

A God Send is what this clinic is to me. Everyone I've had the privilege to be in contact with there has been great! They are kind, compassionate, professional and have gone above and beyond to help me. I'm 56 years old and have always had insurance and gone to the best doctors money can buy but I'm not able to do that these days but I can tell you I've never had better medical care anywhere!❤

As a tour guide without insurance Barrier Islands completely came through for me. My blood pressure has come down almost a hundred points (it was that high) and I feel better and safer!
Professional, caring people and a wonderful place. I thank you much for what y'all do for Charleston!

What can you say about a place that will take you in and give you quality healthcare when you have nowhere to go? Not only are these good doctors and professionals, but they are caring and competent. No one is ever unkind or impatient. The office is beautiful and immaculate. They follow up tenaciously. Most importantly, they treat you no differently than you'd be treated anywhere else ... except I'm convinced they're more caring. I look forward to being on the "other side" as a donor instead of recipient of their services. A+ charity at a time when so many of us need it.

The clinic is there to help area residents who for whatever reason cannot afford medical care. For a while, I was one of those residents. Not only did they save my life by sending me to a local hospital for more in-depth testing and analysis, they were also some of the most thorough, friendly folks I’ve dealt with in the health-care industry in all my adult life. And they are volunteers!

Clinic administration personnel had me bring the plethora of bills from outside sources referred by them during my testing and medical procedures for restitution by them.

As a volunteer organization, resources are limited requiring them to refer patients to outside sources and specialists. Though referred by the clinic, all the specialists involved in my care treated me with dignity and respect and held the clinic in their highest regard. That speaks volumes.
