I left my appointment with Dr Wellman feeling deflated, unheard and frustrated. This was devastating as I had waited months for help to have my issues not taken seriously and be sent away with the same advice a GP would provide (to stay on the pill) - though this cost $200.

Navigating the medical system and finding the right help can feel lonely and overwhelming. Dr Wellman did not validate nor did I feel she truly listened or cared for my experiences. We need health professionals who aren’t biased by their same way of doing things that they can’t see your point of view or even entertain it.

This is why I was so upset throughout and after because as women we have to fight to be heard on the daily as it is when it comes to women’s health and I wanted to trust this practice, yet there are multiple reviews of similar nature on here that show that our feedback is not being addressed.

I would be happy to pay the prices for a specialist appointment if the care reflected the same but it unfortunately didn’t.

For the first time in 10years I took control and insisted on a referral for AWH. The female GP insisted that I didn't need to go and gave prescription and said you only need a merina. I insisted as I was sick of not being heard. Dr. Michelle Wellman investigated further. Booked surgery and throughout my tears prior to surgery was kind and supportive..Now 2 weeks post op. I CAN NOT thank her enough. Given me my life back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel like me again

Excellent service. I highly recommend. Professional, flexible, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Appointments can be conducted online as well as in person and go for 45min (not a rushed 15min). It is something that I had to put money away for (I do not have private health cover) but I have zero regrets about doing so as within the one appointment i had a clear explanation of my symptoms, a diagnosis and steps to take to immediately start addressing symptoms and a script for medication that has subsequently helped significantly. Previously, I had been shunted from doctor to doctor with long waiting times in between and no-one who seemed to recognize my symptoms, or have any concrete actions about what I could do or why outside of telling me that I am getting older and being a woman means my hormones will sometimes "get a bit out of whack but it should settle once you have finished menopause. Just try to take some painkillers and eat well, move more, sleep better". This was well intentioned advice from GP and other professionals in the current public system (male and female) - but not helpful at all and it did not address any of my underlying causes. If you are a woman struggling with similar vague statements and you have the ability to put the financial resources aside... I recommend you make an appointment as soon as you can. I have not looked back.

The receptionist needs to pursue a new career. Her demeanour, impatience and lack of empathy is quite astounding. For someone who works in the health industry she lacks the service skills that are needed for this practice.

Both Dr Floriani and Dr Toogood are fantastic, knowledgeable, relatable and professional, and have both helped me so much.
Also, the Office Manager Emma is second to none in her customer service and diligence. Highly recommend!
