I usually see Dr Sam. He is the most thorough and caring doctor I have ever met. The other doctors are also the best. The nurses are professional and girls on reception are kind and efficient making my rebate back from Medicare fast and simple. I sometimes wish it wasn’t such a great practice as it can take a few weeks to get an appointment

This is the worst clinical practice that I‘ve ever been with. The staff there (from receptionists to GPs and nurse) seem to have no care to their patients.
1) The receptionist: We were there 10 -15 minutes earlier, waiting roughly half an hour for a bulked bill injection. When we asked how long do we have to wait, the receptionist said “just a few minutes late” without any explanation or apology. We know and understand that their time is valuable but so is ours. In fact, we think we have the right to know how much longer we need to wait. Then we went inside the clinic with the nurse, the reception lady kept saying out loud behind our back “only 10 minutes late” in front of other patients. I don’t know why she had to act like that. We were also not allowed to ask the doctor any questions during the injection otherwise they will charge us a consultation fee ($90+)
2) GP and nurse: The most terrible experience and the reason I gave them 1 star (zero star is not an option). I booked the RSV vaccination for pregnant women (so my baby can be protected from week 36 to 6 months after birth) but I have no idea how and why they injected the vaccine for babies in my body. They didn’t even let me know until I came back home and received a voice message from the doctor 3 hours later. He told me that my baby will need to have the vaccination for babies, after being born. The doctor told me to check with my OB and pediatrician later on for tests on my baby to see if further injection is required. The cost for all the tests and pediatrician will have to be paid by us, the parents. We don’t know how 3 people (receptionist, GP, nurse with at least 2 of them have medical background) can made that mistake. As we were forbidden to ask the doctor any question, we had to and we did ask the nurse whether this was the right vaccine for pregnant women and if my baby won’t need injection after birth. They (doctor and nurse) both confirmed that it was the right vaccine and my baby won’t need injection later, but it turned out to be the opposite.

That caused us extreme worry until my OB confirmed it won’t affect me and my baby.

Obviously, we won’t come back to that clinic again. There is no way to make a complaint on their website other than leaving a review here.

Aura Family Doctors are fantastic. I had a great GP before moving to Aura and thought it would be hard to find a new doctor. However, I have been seeing Dr. Sarah Naylor for over a year, and she has exceeded my expectations. She goes above and beyond to meet my medical needs and I fully trust and feel comfortable with her. The receptionist ladies have also been amazing! When Dr. Sarah was unavailable, the clinic promptly notified me and quickly provided an experienced doctor from another practice to fill in temporarily. They've also been so kind and helpful when I've presented unique and challenging requests, and I am truly grateful for the whole team at Aura Family Doctors.
