Extremely disappointing experience. I had an appointment booked for 11:50 AM and even called earlier in the day to confirm. I arrived at 11:45 AM and informed the receptionist I was there for my scheduled appointment. To my surprise, she responded quite rudely, saying there were ten people ahead of me and she had no idea how long it would take. When I pointed out my booking time, she dismissively said appointment times don’t matter there — “that’s just how it works.”

I explained that I had come all the way from Mount Druitt, taking time off work, and needed to return promptly. Her attitude remained indifferent — eye-rolling, curt replies, and zero empathy. I politely asked if the doctor could just give me a quick call since it was only to discuss blood test results, but she refused to assist in any way.

When I expressed how unfair the situation was, she brushed it off, saying many others complain daily but nothing ever changes and if I had an issue, I should email management. Frustrated, I had no choice but to leave and ask pathology to forward my results to my GP instead. I couldn’t deal with the unprofessionalism any longer. Even he it’s management issue, she cpuld have managed it better.

To be honest, her behaviour came across as discriminatory — it truly felt like I was being treated unfairly based on something beyond just poor service.

Many thanks to Dr. Xu for taking care of our family. She is a very punctual and responsible doctor. During each consultation, she carefully inquires about our recent conditions, addresses issues from all aspects, and provides effective health advice. Both of my children and my husband have also received excellent care. I hope we have more such responsible doctors.
Receptionists are also friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!

Reception staff are quick to respond. It's normal to have to wait to see the doctor, so I'm glad the seats are comfy enough with a TV to entertain those without social media. There was an emergency when someone collapsed on the floor during Easter weekend, but once alerted the staff, the doctor and nurse on duty sprang into action. Easy to find at the corner of Marsden and Argyle streets Parramatta (entrance on Argyle St). Best of all, it's still bulk-billed with a pharmacy in the reception waiting area and a testing lab just next door. It's my one-stop shop for medical treatment on the rare occasion I need it.

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent consultation I had at Argyle Street Medical Center with Dr. Kaye Xu.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Dr. Xu was impolite and did not maintain any eye contact throughout the consultation. She did not review my medical report thoroughly—instead, she simply printed it out without any discussion. I was not asked any relevant questions about my condition, and the entire appointment felt rushed, lasting barely five minutes. I was also unable to obtain a medical certificate due to her abrupt and dismissive attitude.

This experience left me feeling unheard and disrespected. I believe every patient deserves basic courtesy, attentiveness, and proper medical care.

I hope you will take this feedback seriously to ensure a better experience for future patients.

There’s a good reason why this Medical Central has such a low rating. To the receptionists here, the appointment system is basically worthless. No matter what time you’ve booked, you’ll end up waiting around two hours once you arrive. During this time, you’ll watch many people who came after you go in before you — first with confusion, then frustration. Questioning the receptionist won’t help at all. If you’re looking to ruin your mood, this place is a great choice.

I booked an appointment for 11:20am. Arrived around 11:15am and was advised the doctor was behind and had 4 people in front of me. Asked if they could call/text me when I’ll be seen but not an option. So I came back 30 mins later and was told by counter staff that only 1 was in front of me. I watched as the doctor took in 3 different patients before me. I wasn’t seen until 12:45pm. That’s actually ridiculous. A sick patient waiting around for almost 2 hours after their scheduled appointment. I also noticed another doctor who managed to see 7 patients in that timeframe? I understand it can get busy but not even one staff member apologised for the wait or checked in with me. I spoke to staff 3 times. What a disgusting experience. Had the same experience in 2022 - should’ve learnt my lesson. Never coming back here again. WORST DOCTORS EVER !

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the receptionist. She was rude, bossy and displayed an arrogant attitude throughout the conversation. It was evident that she treated people with no respect and seemed to feel entitled. There was a complete lack of basic manners and empathy and she even lied about doctors not being available, despite another team confirming they were. While I was on the phone, she answered other calls without acknowledging me, leaving me waiting in silence, then would return as if nothing had happened. When I confronted her about her attitude and tone of voice and asked for her name, she claimed she was one of the best receptionists there and that she had the best reviews. It’s no wonder the reviews are so bad – I should’ve read them before going there. The level of service was appalling, and her behavior was completely unacceptable. Worst experience by far, and I will not forget how badly I was treated. Think twice before going there..

I posted a review earlier pretty upset but then I decided to ask about it at the front counter and I actually felt heard and understood. I tried to get her name but my hearing is terrible but the lady that I spoke with was brunette and younger looking. I really appreciated her taking the time to validate my frustration and agree instead of just being rude which has been my experience in the past.
People just want to be validated when they’re upset not tossed aside. Honestly maybe some of the staff members that the other reviews are talking about should take a couple pages out of her book.
Anyway thanks to the lady I spoke to you were wonderful
