The worst hospital in existance. I came here to ED about a year an half ago due to a very bad cyst and the doctor just popped it like pimple and left the rest there. Ended up having to go to gp again who had to open it further and clean.

Wife went here due to stomach pain. They did blood test and said it looks bad maybe go do ultra sound. They could have done it there instead it was done else where we had to book and when the results came it was due to gal stone. They sent her home in such condition.

Today had to come again because wife is having severe head ache and vomiting. Triage nurse said we will try Panadol ( panadol when i told them she hadnt had any fluids and have vomited everything, who the heck gives panadol for that? ) but then disappeared. Its been 15 mins of sitting around for her to find a panadol table!

If you visit Africa (a rural province in Uganda) im sure they can find the panadol tables quicker than the nuese here, their nurses could react and diagnose better than this)

Keen to se what the hospital has to say about this i would go -10 stars if i could

EDIT: so we finally got discharged and back home, i would say one you go inside the ED the doctors and nurses are really nice, ifs just the triage nurse outside that took 1.2 hrs to give us the panadol (how could it take that long )

Two weeks ago I had severe pain from an UTI. I came to the hospital and they were so busy but they had time for me. I vomited and the nurse laid me down on a bench as there were no beds available. She brought me a pillow and a nice warm blanket and also pain killers and anti nausea tabs. I had tests and then slept. At 5.15am the doc came to see me and all the tests came back good and then he told me I could go home. I was pain and nausea free and felt good. Thank you to the nurse that looked after me, her name is Dawn.

The one star goes to the nurses that 90% of them have been very kind and attentive the 5 times I've unfortunately had to attend the ER. Wait times are insane. Waited 12 hours in the waiting room for both times I was having a gall bladder attack, they just kept giving me endone. 8 hours for an asthma attack, they just kept telling me to use my puffer, like I haven't been doing that for 4 days, until I voluntarily left. 9 hours for possible pancreatitis. However the care from doctors is a disgrace! I had 2 Gall Bladder attacks within 2 weeks of each other, they fully admitted me the second time and told me I would go in for surgery only to discharge me TEN MINUTES later as they had no room. 4 weeks ago I had a bad asthma attack and no GP would see me till I went to ER, my visit was ok except I walked out after they told me after waiting 8 hours it would be another 3 till they could give me results. As I was leaving I heard one nurse say, has anyone seen the man with chest pain, he's been waiting 4 and a half hours! My last visit this week I came in after 000 told me to get to ER ASAP as an ambulance would be 90 minutes as I was having an extreme episode of pain in my stomach, thought was pancreatitis. After a 9 hour wait in the waiting room, the Dr came to see me and said it's probably indigestion (I've had three kids and the pain was worse than birth) he then told me if it was pancreatitis I would feel pain on my right where the pancreas is (your pancreas is on your left) I was told to leave and get an ultrasound later.
Later I saw my GP and she diagnosed it immediately as a large peptic ulcer now having to have scopes. Emergency turned me away when there was and is a possibility of perferation. I don't know where you are getting your Dr's but basic anatomy should be 101. God help those on the edge needing immediate urgent care. The Angliss used to be fantastic now I'll be taking myself and my children to the Monash.

Dan Andrews voters should read this. Came here at 12 midnight with a 12 months old vomiting and very unwell. It's 7AM and we are still here with no doctor in sight. #dictator Dan destroyed Victoria while raking in Millions plus a life time pension of over $200K on same tax payers money who bring their sick children to so called emergencies. Australia is only a developed nation due to its less population. Corrupt politician of the highest order.

After waiting 8 hours we were told to wait another three for day team to arrive and assess. One of the morning nurse arrived ready for a beauty peagent with IQ Lower then any denominator. She had an awful attitude for a nurse and was on her mobile phone while I tried to console my crying baby. She is definitely in this job to help people and not find a rich doctor.

Overall in my opinion this emergency needs an emergency audit and staff needs to be fired as you cannot teach empathy.

Skill set: 2 nurses, 1 emergency doctor and 1 Ped couldn't diagnose a simple viral in a 12 months old after doing blood test, swab test, etc. There assumptions urine infection, bronchitis but no one willing to actually spend time to diagnose. Prescribing 4 weeks antibiotics without thorough investigation and on guess work. All hand balling patients to counting down clock.

Went to Monash same day, total 2hours and 15 minutes, 1 nurse, 1 doctor ..said it's viral gone bad..just rest and panadol..no need for any tests or antibiotics

One day they may all become mothers/fathers and could end up in emergencies with their child..what would they expect?

Treat people like you want to be treated.

We've been to the Angliss ER on several occasions. The staff, from the triage nurse to the doctors and nurses inside, treat you like family. Highly underrated hospital.

absolutely terrible. really shows hope our tax money is wasted on scams they call "healthcare". my dad was in a lot of agony due to stomach pains. the nurse at the front was very incompetent and was just clicking away on the computer as I pleaded her to do something. disgusting. absolutely disgusting. waiting for 4+ hours, havent even got a doctor to look at his condition. these people will kill patients with their incompetence!
