I've been attending therapy for 21 years. Micah has done more to both facilitate and accelerate my growth and healing from CPTSD than any psych ward admission, medication or standard CBT, in the last 18 months. Kind of don't want to leave this review in case he gets booked out now, but I am so grateful and he has helped me turn my life around following 40+ years of trauma. I came here a few times and it was one of the worst things I have ever done. Every visit she would make me feel unwelcome and dumb for seeking out the help I desperately needed for my issues, and seemed confused about why I was there.

Counselling did not seem specific or personalised and in a lot of cases I was given readings I could have found online and then chastised later for not reading them all (I reiterated a number of times that I have very limited free time) this felt odd to me and like rather than spending the time I paid good money for to work on things, it was easier to brush me aside and just be like “here, read this”.

I seriously regret going to this practice as it has set me back even further. I finally took the step to “go and see someone” like everyone tells me you should, but now I have horrible anxiety just over the thought of going to a psychologist because of how much I felt belittled and as though my issues weren’t real or worth seeking help. I have cancelled all future appointments and will not be back.

They also have a pretty strict cancellation policy, which is difficult when you have a panic attack before your session about just having to go and see your psychologist. One upside- all the receptionists seem lovely.
