Disgusting behaviour by all clinicians I was asked if I wanted to speak to a psychologist while admitted I said yes and never got to talk to anyone they cost me $220 missed psychologist appointment medical keep me from going to my appointment my NDIS does not cover missed appointments so I'm mentally worse and have a bill which will cost my a quarter of my fortnight pension acute care team was called by myself and was lied to and not even allowed to explain anything the lady I spoke to his name was Jude. He was so rude. Just kept saying excuse me, excuse me excuse me this lady should not be working with mental health as you just increase my anxiety and actually made me want to hurt myself
There’s a new manager taken over Acute Care Gold Coast her name is Renee from Latin and English and means advisor and protector She told me she was going to change things and gave me her contact details. I’ve tried to contact her for the second time and I just got that Jude lady I’ve had many many many bad experiences with Acute Care Team. I really enjoy them coming to my house and disrespecting me in my own home. And tell you to do stuff that you’re already doing to help yourself. I made an appointment to see A psychiatrist And I got a registre He is unable to make any decisions on her own. It is illegal. She’s not a doctor. She’s a registrar. The usual information against you and take the easy options and they can find like drag or alcohol abuse. I’ve been blamed Alcoholism and I have not had a drink in 10 years caution, caution, caution warning warning warning tread very carefully. If you’re gonna try to engage with these people I would not bother. It’s a waste of time. They are a waste of time and they are a waste of funding and the address they gave its ownly the call centre they are actually based at the Southport health precinct, they’re just trying to hide Stay away these people are pathetic. Renee will be unable to fix the systemic problems. You might as well just quite now, dear and go back to New South Wales health
see by the photo there is no Acute Care Team in that building

Reading all of these reviews, I think I am now glad nobody answered my calls.
First time 5 minutes, the second; 24 minutes. Just a pre-recorded loop saying someone will answer my call shortly. Nobody ever did.

Corrupt! If you get sent here after reporting a serious crime, record the interview on your phone. They are covering stuff up on the GC

Called a week ago in crisis with my 12yr old daughter. Cynthia was absolutely appalling on the phone to me. Offered no sincerity, calmness, reassurance, practical help - just 'call an ambulance, that's all I suggest'. Even my eldest daughter said she doesn't deserve to work in such a delicate role. Shame you bring QLD health (MH) to it's knees, even though it's been there for years. Do better, be better.

I made an appointment to see them as i was badly struggling with my mental health. Weeks went by with no feedback and i just called to follow up and the female clinician i saw at the prince charles said i don’t fit criteria to be assessed or taking care of despite telling her id been suicidal, self harming and desperately needed to go back on medication for bipolar. They do NOT help people who are mentally ill. Avoid this service at all costs, they do not care about anyone. This isn’t my first bad experience with them and it won’t be the last. Shame on QLD government.

Told me they couldn’t help me, then called an ambulance to try and bring me to ED so they could tell me they couldn’t help me in person. When I told the paramedics what was actually going on they were both disgusted by ACT’s behaviour and admitted it was pretty standard. When you guys are the embarrassment of Queensland Health surely you’d think that something would be done to change it, wondering how many patients are going to end up in the morgue before the ā€˜clinicians’ wake up to themselves and realise pushing patients to suicide is the direct opposite of suicide prevention.

I was left in even MORE distress after calling. Disgusted and quite frankly furious about the lack of compassion and support from a mental health crisis team. Called for a loved one who was in severe psychological turmoil and a danger to herself, asking for advice or even a place/facility I could take her to (had already tried 000 and 2 public hospitals) only to be told bluntly and with a horrible attitude, ā€œthere’s nothing we can do as she was assessed yesterday and cleared, goodbye.ā€

Even if there was ā€œnothingā€ they could do for a person who was cleared over 36 hours prior to my call, the least they could do was speak with some compassion and respect. If they speak to me, a concerned loved one, like that, I HATE to think of how they treat people in severe distress.

Got sent this number by beyond blue, lady from BB was lovely but the person I spoke too was disgustingly rude and unprofessional. I relapsed and was asked if I had 'taken a cold shower' for suicidal thoughts and SH and that they couldnt do anything for me. Had to go on a goose chase too find some help. Disgusting dont waste your time!
