I've been coming here for over 20+ years and I think the doctors and all the workers are great they even offer to pick you up and drop you off to and from your appointments but you do need to book transport otherwise you have to find your own way to your appointments

Turned up after being told to come in after I was told there were 4 Drs on and 5 Patients waiting, I tried to see a Dr around my local area but they were all booked out. I was not well suffering high blood pressure, I was a patient of Kalwyn on Gold Coast and recently had to use the services of Danila Dilba in Darwin I arrived in at the AMS to be told I am not a registered patient and that I could not see a Dr I requested to see a nurse I was referred to the Chemist across the road this is the second time being turned away first time when I HAD covid

I have been attending the AMS Redfern for over 30 years. Today after almost 2 years not being able to go due to Covid i went to get some long overdue health issues dealt with. After a two hour wait to see the only Dr available i was shuffled in and out in around 5 mins after Dr said she world have to finish with a phone consultation because there other clients for her to see. Not good enough AMS perhaps because it's a medical service you should concentrate on hiring Dr's instead of general staff. Duty of care is seriously missing from the AMS these days

Attended the AMS dental Redfern today for emergency dental care, my daughter with two black parents, had bleeding gums, gum separating from teeth, very painful, I can’t afford a dentist & they turned us away, because we aren’t current patients, didn’t have Aboriginality cert, when clearly we are Aboriginal.

While I understand their policy of not being a current patient, but in this case of an emergency this should be waived & we sign up later, This is a health service that is supposed to close the gap on Aboriginal health, assist Aboriginal people with this very issue that’s urgent, shameful & unacceptable conduct, how is that rigid, unyielding policy help Aboriginal people in need, in an emergency. Go to the hospital dental clinic they said. Shameful.

Have been a patient here for 30+ years and will never go back! The duty of care and services levels are non existent anymore. The founding legends would be shattered to see what has become of their legacy! SHAME ON BOARD & MANAGEMENT! DO BETTER 🖤💛♥️

Went there in the 80s with my indigenous husband and children.
They were fine when my husband was around but totally rude and nasty if I went there by myself.
Eventually was told not to come back.
I enquired to whom made this rule and was told that a lady called May O'Grady said so.
Never came back with my kids included a severely disabled child.
Hope things have improved.

Convenient location corner of Redfern and Pitt Street all medical needs Matt by the special Aboriginal Medical Centre open 5 days a week with a full make a variety of Medical Services including nurses doctors can't lose and rec Murrell to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Are specially trained with a mix of both indigenous and non indigenous professional Personnel 20 Shore a very approachable service start with professional and compassionate Personnel

Our first Aboriginal Community Controlled Health service, quality general practice with community at its core. Highly professional and helpful staff, and their clinical team is amazing (they saved my life)
