Best Medical practice in and around Riverwood...I have been to lots of different GP but nobody beat DR Thillai Sivaseelan, Men with knowledge, integrity, and great life experience.

The receptionists are always friendly , helpful and professional. I have never been left waiting for the doctor and have been going to this clinic for many years, the doctors are always thorough and give the best care. I have never experienced any rudeness from any of the staff or receptionists, so cannot understand why some reviews are mentioning this.

Doctors are amazing Dr. Siva is the best of the best!! Been going there for a while and there’s always been this one receptionist that is rude and nasty my whole family agrees and always knows which one we’re talking about. Called today and she just kept cutting me off and had such a bad attitude and was so snappy which really set me off. She needs to work on her customer service skills asap!

Receptionist was so rude. Called earlier in the day to rake an appointment. Told it was a $60 fee.
Arrived to my appointment only to be told it was cash only and I was turned away while next to tears and clearly in pain.
I offered to direct debit and was bluntly told no.
Vile customer service and no help to people that need it.

What can be improved most is probably the entrance which can be modified to add accessibility and safety. The door has a step and it opens in ward (auto swing type) which you will need to hold it firmly to stay open while hand lift the pram or a push chair, it is very hard to get in by yourself without feeling awkward. Getting out is riskier as the landing slope towards the busy street. When I went in with a pram once, it was Covid time and no one helped. I had to hold my son’s hand, held door and carried the pram down. Something happened to my son and a split second I had to let go of the pram, it sped of from the landing towards the street immediately so I had to sprint to chase it and let me son behind.
My previous clinic has sliding door that stays open and a slope for wheelchair so please consider these options.

Of course, the waiting time exits but never longer than an hour (comparing to no appointment policy from another clinic I have been to). Love online booking system. Also telephone consultation is available to avoid hassle of physically be there for small issue.

From being there about ten times, I always find all receptionists are helpful and serves visitors in timely manners. Even when we need lots of forms and pick up lost prescriptions, they did provide things willingly.

I'm making this review solely based on the receptionists at this practice and NOT the GP. Dr Mani Moosaad is one of the best GP's I have ever been to. Nothing is ever a bother for him and he really takes his time when you are seeing him.
The two receptionist that work at southside medical really need to evaluate their lives. They are always miserable and rude and never acknowledge you when you arrive for your appointment. They treat you like you are a real bother and comes across like they really hate their job. It is a real shame because as I said Dr Mani is great but I hate going there and dealing with the attitude of the receptionists

A week ago, I booked an appointment via Health Engine with Dr Siva. On arrival the receptionist said that my date of birth as per Health engine do not match with their records, so I have been treated as a new patient by Health Engine. Moreover, she was rude enough to say 'next time you do this we will charge you $10 as Health engine charge us this fee'. She made sure to be loud enough to shame me (for this innocent mistake) in front of other patients waiting there. I apologized to the receptionist and assured her that I'll be careful in future.

Dr. Siva was even worst than the receptionist and went a step further, and said I'll not even see you next time if you do this as Health Engine cost us $10 referral per new patient.

I politely replied to the Dr. Siva that if you are not interested in seeing me next time than I'm not interested even this time even and just walked out of his consultation room.

I never expect such a response from a noble profession of a doctor. Dr Siva behaviour was of a pretty money minded doctor, he better be in a butchery rather than in a medical practice.

I've also got concerns about the ethics being followed by the practice. I do remember receiving 5 brouchers in my name and that of my 5 family members from Southside Medical Centre announcing joining of Dr Siva couple of years ago. I never visited this practice before joining of Dr. Siva and I don't live in their suburb, so how on earth they got my data including the exact names and address of my minor family members? Was my data from other clinic where Dr. Siva was seeing my family members got compromised? I've raised my concerns with that the aforesaid other clinics (luckily I found 2 of those sealed envelopes containing their brouchers in my garage clean-up), and also referred the matter to AHPRA and HPCC.

No matter when you book, you'll end up waiting an hour after your appointment time. And when you finally go in they try to rush you out. I've got chronic disease and high blood pressure.....I didn't even get a prescription for any of my illnesses. If it weren't for Medicare.... these guys would be on centrelink because no one would pay for the services here.
