Located in George Street parramatta. The medical service centre is mainly for after hours till late night and we were not disappointed with the emergency at hand. My friend needed a treatment for a deep cut in his hand webbing close to midnight. Called in and got necessary help from the receptionist and then medical support from the doctor. Highly recommended in Parramatta location especially for late night medical service or consulting for moderate level medical situations.

I used to have great experiences here BUT

3/7/2024 I saw Dr Rashidul Hassan with cold and flu symptoms. He referred me for a pcr test ONLY for covid (not even other bacteria and viruses) and gave me a “prescription” nasal spray which turned out to be just over-the-counter and cost around $60.

The pcr test eventually cost me $254.55. Absolutely nonsense because I had done rat test and knew I didn’t have covid anyway! The fact that the doctor only got me to do covid pcr and gave me over the counter meds on a script paper just showed how incompetent he was.

The next day I did a phone consult with him again to get a medical certificate. The call lasted less than 30 seconds (I am not exaggerating), and no ID’s checked, no follow-ups on my symptoms. I was billed for $41.40 (item #91891 for phone consult lasting at least 6 minutes).

The receptionist called me back an hour later saying they couldn’t bill my insurance (which they had always done) and I needed to come over in the depth of my sickness to pay otherwise I couldn’t get the medical certificate. I offered to pay on the phone but she declined.

So yeah the next day I felt better and went to pay. Guess what, it was another receptionist and she told me they should have been able to bill my insurance.

Not sure what is this ridiculous duo of doctor and receptionist. I hope you guys find better occupations where you can actually do well.

I used to frequent this medical centre because of its priority to patients and professionalism. Unfortunately they have since changed staff, and my recent experience had the doctor prescribing generic off the shelf medicine without fulling understanding the reason for my mother’s illness, and it didn’t help the situation even the slightest. The doctor also conducted a swap test, without disclosing about the additional cost associated, assuming every patient is covered by Medicare but since my mother was visiting from overseas therefore it was an out of expense pocket but we were none the wiser as we thought the test was part of the consultation (imagine my surprise to receive a bill for $250, 2 weeks later), and the test report was apparently released 3 weeks prior, and there was no follow up calls whatsoever until my own follow up call 3 weeks later to enquire about the results to be taken to a different clinic, only to find out that I had to pay an additional $42 to have a phone consultation with the doctor, to have the report released and this is “store policy”. So it’s $80 for initial consultant fee, plus $250 for the swap test, plus $42 for a telephone consultation, all out of pocket. It would’ve been greatly appreciated if the doctor in charge at the time could’ve disclosed that we needed to follow up on the report, but if you don’t ask, they won’t tell, and you’re left with chasing the results for your sick, loved ones, and then get slapped with an additional $42. So there you go, I’ve given my money to this establishment, and it’s clear that wellness of patients are not a priority any longer and this will be my last time visiting. If you have medicare, then sure, you’re covered, if you don’t, do yourself a favor and seek help elsewhere.

P.S: Doctor I had a phone consultation with scoffed when I asked how long it’ll take for my mother to recover and replied “your mother isn’t young so of course it’ll take long” and kept rushing to end the call. Frustrating, disappointing, truly heartbreaking. Never again.

I recently visited ISRA Medical in Parramatta multiple times over the course of a month to get my vaccination registered in the Immunisation History Statement (IHI). Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite repeated visits and assurances, my vaccination was not registered in a timely manner.

The receptionist I encountered was consistently rude and lacked accountability for their actions. They failed to take responsibility for their words and did not provide adequate assistance in resolving the issue.

However, I must commend the doctors for their professionalism and dedication to their duty. During my visits, they were thorough and provided good care, which was a silver lining in an otherwise disappointing experience.

Overall, my experience at ISRA Medical in Parramatta was marred by inefficiency and poor customer service from the receptionist. While the medical care provided by the doctors was commendable, the lack of accountability and the delay in vaccination registration overshadowed any positives and need to go time and again to get it registered . It took me one whole month to get it registered inIHI . Registering the immunisation is doctors responsibility, as they wanted me to pay again for the same thing which made me feel unsatisfied with the duties of doctor . I hope that improvements can be made to ensure a more seamless and satisfactory experience for future patients. I would like to request the management to give proper training to the receptionists about their role and responsibilities . Thanks

I arrived without an appointment on Thursday and was pleasantly surprised to find it less busy than usual, with only one person ahead of me in the queue. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Malik for his prompt and attentive care

The receptionist working after hours on 24/12/23 was so terribly rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming. She had a very bad attitude, no customer service skills, she should not be working at the front desk of a medical centre. I have seen better service in third world country medical practices than this place.

There is no point of taking appointments here. They will prefer the walk-ins first. Even though you have made appointment of the same time. Also the doctors are not professional. Very bad in Communication. They don't speak proper english. Not recommended.

With all the other medical centres in the Parramatta area closed on a Saturday evening, I attended the medical centre as a walk in patient and was seen without too much delay. From the reception staff to the Doctor that I saw, it was a really good experience. I was treated with great respect and would highly recommend this service. This service is very important to have in Parramatta.
