I had a day procedure at Charlestown Private with Hunter Plastic Surgery. The organisation was impeccable from start to finish. I was able to do admissions online (I had travelled fro Perth for this surgery as Hunter Plastic Surgery are the best) it was very easy to do on my phone, did not need iPad or laptop. I got a text up dates along way from the hospital with a phone call the day before surgery with my time to be at the hospital. I arrived at that time went to the 2nd floor where I passed over my consent for surgery to admin, I was promptly registered in given paper work to take up to floor 3 where the theatre rooms are. On 3rd floor I had a short wait in the waiting rooms with a tv for amusement before Cathy the nurse I had spoke on the phone to the previous day did me weight in & got me in my surgery outfit. Another small weight & then taken through to the theatre prep room where I was looked after by a very lovely nurse. My surgeon arrived did his prep on me before the anaesthetist talked me through what would happen & checked my paper work. The lovely nurse took me through to hope on the bed in theatre & before I knew it I was waking up in recovery. I had a nurse called Burn & she was compassionate, helpful & gentle. I had a 2hr drive back to Sydney & both nurses got me a bottle of water, packets of bickies & explained all my medications. One got me in the wheelchair & pushed me all the way down to my sisters car & helped me in.
I can not thank the team at Charlestown Private Hospital enough for making me feel so comfortable so far from home after a big surgery. Every nurse I encountered was kind, smiling, gentle, compassionate & looked as though they loved their work place & wanted to be there. A clean, proficient, professional & well maintained hospital. I highly recommend.

Had day surgery last week at Charlestown Private Hospital. Found it to be a friendly & modern hospital. Very impressed with the care received from the friendly and efficient nurses. I would recommend this private hospital as every staff member made me feel relaxed. Thanks again for looking after me.

Today I had day surgery at Charlestown Private Hospital and I am completely impressed with all the staff who assisted with my surgery. This has been the most comfortable I have felt in any hospital setting. The nurses were amazing, friendly and made my short few hour stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this private hospital as each and every staff member including admin front desk made me feel relaxed and welcome from the moment I arrived till the moment I left. It was so nice to be around nurses who love their job and excel at it. I would personally like to thank the preop nurse and the 2 post op nurses, sorry I don’t have names. Thanks again Charlestown Private Hospital.
