I have experienced nothing but first class professional services from Old Bar Medical Centre.
Living in the city and visiting Old Bar regularly, I am extremely impressed with the professionalism, courtesy and cleanliness of the centre.
All staff are extremely pleasant with the exception of some reception staff who lack compassion and empathy especially to the elderly. They can be exceptionally rude to distressed patients and their immediate family members.
This needs urgent attention and vast improvement.

Up here for a holiday to visit my mum. I used to live here and attend the medical centre. Explained all I needed was a script for a sinus infection. Was turned down and told to call my regular gp for a telehealth appointment. Pretty poor considering it's coming up to the long weekend and the old bar festival where tourist are everywhere. I don't want to go to the hospital and tie them up with something minor that could be addresses by a GP. God help anyone up here on a holiday and have a medical issue that could be seen by a GP you got no chance in old bar. Way to waste hospital time old bar medical.

For 20 years I lived on Mitchells Island and used Old Bar Medical Centre for my medical needs, my father lives at Old Bar and also uses their center. 10 years ago I left to live in Tweed area and have used Old Bar Medical Centre when visiting my father. I am currently living with my father as I am relocating to Darwin then to India. Today at Old Bar Medical Centre I was told that I could not get an appointment as I had been out of area and that I would have to go on a waiting list to apply to be a client as their books were full. I was on their books!!! I needed scripts and attention for two medical issues but they were adamant they would not give me an appointment. So, I had to go to Taree and find a surgery who would accept me as a new client. Thankyou to the staff at Health Club Taree for assisting me. No thanks to Old Bar Medical Centre.

I stayed in Old Bar last weekend and unfortunately, I had a medical emergency and ended up at the Medical Centre with no appointment. Fortunately, Dr. Parmar agreed to see me, even though I am not local, and he had a busy day ahead, so needed to reschedule all the other patients. My husband received a follow up call from Dr. Parmar to see how I am (fine now thanks!). I am so impressed by the professionalism of the doctor and also the lady on the reception desk. Truly lovely and unexpected , must be country courtesy. Thank you all so much!

Just arrived in Old Bar for holiday and had nasty fall. Thanks to nurse for cleaning me up and dressing my wounds. Doctor checked that I was okay, no dizziness etc. Could not have been more helpful. Wonderfully helpful and courteous. Many thanks.

This is a disgrace to the term medical care,
It is Saturday morning 9 AM I'm the only one there I have ear infections in both ears, I
All I need is a prescription for eardrops ..
I am holidaying in Old Bar.
I get told we don't take any new patients I said I need a script for ear drops, I get told sorry you have to go to Taree or the hospital.
Well so much for the Hypocatic oath.
