Having had previous experience with Bankstown Terrace Aged Care Community at Bankstown, through family and friends who were previous residents, I selected this establishment for my wife upon discharge from hospital following several recent brain bleeds / strokes.
Such a choice is always difficult but the application process was well explained and I felt very comfortable in entrusting my wife to the care of the staff.
Moving in yesterday, I have been more than impressed by the welcome and attention afforded to my wife by the management and staff to ensure that they all understood her particular needs, and desires. As my wife has lost most of her vision and is non-verbal, the staff made and exceptional effort to learn the best ways to communicate with her and some of her preferences.
The first 24 hours has seen senior management from the General Manager, Care Manager, Care Coordinator, Customer Support Manager, on-site physiotherapists and the chef visit Dianne to determine her needs.
Shortly after arrival, Dianne had her first lunch and it was so nice that she ate the whole meal and desert. Today the General Manager brought a bunch of flowers for Dianne and the physios again visited to assess Dianne who had been bed-bound for 6 weeks and after some gentle encouragement Dianne was assisted to stand and take a couple of steps and sit in a wheelchair. This is enough to show that there is a strong possibility that with assistance, Dianne will be able to move out of her room and share the environment and activities that Bankstown Terrace offers.
Whilst Dianne was always reluctant to consider entering an aged care facility, I am now very confident that she will be happy with this new chapter of her life, which she seems to enjoy already.

My Mum has been at Bankstown Terrace Care Community since January 2025. The nursing home is luxurious and clean and the staff are always attentive to my mothers needs.
The staff are always approachable, polite and happy to assist.
We find the staff very friendly and they are a great asset.
Some areas to improve is a closer one on one approach with food intake of elderly persons, such as my Mum, as foods are tomato based and acidic on occasions. The laundry processes need to be reviewed as we have had a couple of clothing pieces lost and labelling has been an issue.

As a pharmacist who supplies medication to this nursing home, I have had a pleasure of working closely with their staff and I can confidently say that they are exceptional. The nursing and administrative staff are consistently organised, communicative and deeply committed to the residents care.

The most wonderful place to have your loved one cared for. The staff at Bankstown Terrace Care Community are so accommodating, take the time to get their know their residents and offer personalised care to make both residents and family feel at home. The rooms are modern and well maintained, nurses are personable and show genuine care for every resident. I am so grateful to have my grandmother cared for in such a lovely facility with the support of very special team members who make her feel so comfortable at ease. Exceptional Care and Warmth

We recently needed to find an aged care home for a loved one, and after visiting several places, we were incredibly fortunate to find this facility. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were welcomed with warmth and compassion. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure residents are not only well-cared for but truly feel at home.

The environment is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with rooms that offer all the amenities you could hope for. The variety of activities keeps residents engaged and active, and the food is excellent, with options to suit individual needs and preferences.

Most importantly, the team here is exceptional. The carers, nurses, and staff are always kind, patient, and attentive, treating everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve. There’s a strong sense of community among the residents, and it’s clear that the staff genuinely care about their wellbeing. Knowing that a registered nurse is always on hand and that specialists are available for additional support has given us immense peace of mind.

We couldn't be more grateful for the care and support provided. This home truly feels like a safe and welcoming place, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their loved ones will be treated like family.

Hands down one of the worst place to work at. They won’t approve sick leaves and when they do they will not replace you and always want the staff to work short, is it only the manager doing it for benefits or the higher ups want to do? I want to know. Please don’t admit your family here in case you want them to hear the staffs are short everyday and unable to assist them. Atleast hire enough staffs to cover the shifts and don’t give the employees a hard time. Thank you.

"Absolutely wonderful experience at Bankstown Terrace As a respite resident, I was warmly welcomed by the amazing team. The food was delightful, and the atmosphere was truly welcoming. Although my stay was due to home renovations, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment here. The team made me feel like family, and I'll miss this place dearly. Highly recommend for anyone in need of respite care or looking for a welcoming environment."

I would to give a negative review if there was one. Never have seen such a aged care that doesn’t follow the rules and policies that even a simple organization has to follow. All the staffs are not satisfied with the management. Might be good if the management is changed.
