I have been using Wheatbelt Health Network for more than 3 years. Service from admin and GP staff is good, only had one negative experience but it just switched GPs. I can usually get an appointment easily online or over the phone from the friendly admin staff. Modern General Practice. Wait times are usually not too long.

My older mum has been going to wheatbelt medical for a few years with a great DR. Unfortunately the appointment times have blown out of the time frame as the dr works part time and that she has needed medication so she asked to transfer her records to another doctor so she can have a back up when she can't get into her Dr at wheatbelt medical. They told her once she transferred she won't be allowed back to their practice. I tried to booked an appointment for her for the 28th July at wheatbelt medical and that was fine until they found out that she had been banned from this practice. Saying that they are not taking on new patients. She isn't a new patient and they still have copies of her medical records.
But they would not book her in.
Makes it hard in a small town when the options are limited.

Receptionist and nurse were great. Saw dr NB the first time and barely any help, waste of money and time, went straight from dr to emergency and got help. then 2nd visit was dr BK and I have never met a ruder uncaring, arrogant unhelpful doctor ever, no help at all.

The one star is for my visit today, usually it would be a 5 star.
I could not see my usual doctor as he is away, so i saw doctor BK , i recently had to have a endoscopy and a week later a colonoscopy .this was the reason for my visit as the hospital said to go see the doc in 2 weeks for the full results, walked in and asked for results he said who sent you here? after a quick look he said all good, i asked what about the colonoscopy he said the same, this took about 90 seconds, he did not explain anything to me at all, Now i know there are a few things wrong with my esophagus as i can not swallow food properly and the hospital told me i have a hernia also the royal Perth hospital rang me and said i need to make an appointment with the surgeon. SO NOT ALL GOOD, Where was the duty of care? i thought while i was there i would ask what vaccines i had a few years ago before my trip to India as we are wanting to go again in November, he said you can look all this up yourself and that he did not have time, come back nearer your departure date, I told him i needed to know what ones i needed as some you need to take 3 months before you go, that was my visit was in there maybe 2 mins, So thanks for nothing a total waste of my time, he said he did not have time i thought the appointments were for 10 min? now thinking of going somewhere else so a doctor who does have time and who does care can give me the proper results i need.

Great guy but I had a bad cold that I woke up with after working in the piggery so went to get it checked in case I’d caught something from the pigs. The doctor didn’t know what a piggery was and after checking my throat asked me if I still had my tonsils?

I was referred to see a physio here about a long standing complaint that was well documented by several specialists only to be told by the physio that what I was experiencing was normal for a man of my age and the pain and discomfort that I feel was in my head.
