As a guest at The Westin, I was hoping to enjoy a relaxing spa experience at BODHI Massage, conveniently located within the hotel. Unfortunately, my first impression was quite disappointing.

When I arrived at the spa, there was no greeting or acknowledgment. The staff member on duty seemed fully focused on her computer, and I had to initiate the conversation myself. I asked for a spa menu, but she simply told me it was only available digitally in the room. There was no effort to explain the services or offer any suggestions.

When I inquired about availability, I was told I needed to send an inquiry—again, without much guidance or engagement. Overall, the interaction felt very unwelcoming, and it seemed like they weren’t particularly interested in helping or offering their services.

As a result, despite staying at the hotel, we decided to look for a spa elsewhere. It’s a missed opportunity for the business, especially considering how many hotel guests might want a spontaneous spa experience during their stay

I had a pregnancy massage and facial with Yuka, and it was absolutely amazing exactly what I needed in these final days of pregnancy. Yuka was incredibly gentle, attentive, and made me feel so relaxed and cared for. Every part of the experience was soothing and tailored to how I was feeling. The therapist’s expert touch melted away all tension, using perfectly balanced pressure to create a blissful escape. To top it all off, the salted caramel bliss ball, chamomile tea, and glass of bubbly were a gorgeous touch at the end (I should know how good the balls are, I roll them every week!). I visited Bodhi Westin this week after having had a good experience in the past. My experience this week was very disappointing, to say the least. My massage therapist was kind, but during the back massage l expressed that it was painful, and she replied with "its good pain" and continued with the same technique and intensity. That was an inappropriate response, but because she was kind, and because i had previously had a good experience here, i decided to ignore that response and endure the 30mins. After the massage l had a very sore back to the extent that l had to spend most of the afternoon and evening lying down in hopes to relieve the pain. The sore back remained for 2 days post the massage and l struggled to get through the working hours. As l had previously had a good experience l did not want to straight away write this on review but sent the feedback via email. The response l got from the Spa Manager Renee was very dismissive of my pain, telling me that it is normal to feel slight pain after every massage, to rest and drink water (As a health professional i do not know how water takes away back pain). The words used seemed to have even made an assumption that l did not know what was normal pain after a massage. I do not know what such an assumption was based on. The response did not in any way acknowledge the feedback or give any reassurance that it will be taken onboard to inform better service in future. I am disappointed by such level of customer care.

I had the most amazing session with Yuka today. I don’t often get a chance to take time for myself, due to being a carer and working, and I didn’t realise how much I needed 2.5 hours with Yuka today! The Oud Renewal package was amazing, a fabulous massage that focused on a lot of the tension in my shoulders, as well as the full body, and the facial was just so lovely and the products were beautiful. I left feeling like I was floating on a cloud. I will be back!
