I just want to take this opportunity to express how massively I appreciate these wonderful people in Golden Square Health Works. A month ago, I was very devastated with what happened to me; I was in a situation where I felt helpless. I tried to see my previous GP, but they were not available to help me, although I had received a confirmation that they would be seeing me on that specific date. I am glad, though, that this had to happen. I strongly believe in life that everything has a reason why it must happen. This was the beginning of being in the right hands to help me with my needs.
I want to thank the healthcare workers in Kangaroo Flat as well, for directing me to see the Golden Square Health Clinic, as they do accept bulk bill. I am currently a full-time student, and this massively helped me a lot, and for sure others as well. I want to thank Mary and the other lady who helped me secure an appointment. On that very first day I rang, I expressed how I was so in need to seek help from a healthcare professional. I was honestly feeling down, and there is no doubt they understood what I felt that day when I told them what happened at the previous clinic. Their response was more than just “doing their role,” they sympathized with me; I could hear it from their voice, how sorry they were for what I was going through and that they understood where my frustration was coming from. Thank you for helping me and continuing to help others as well. You guys are amazing, you guys truly care for us who need help. I just thought of letting you know how much I appreciate you guys, that you are so valued, and that you play a very important role in our community, making sure that we get the help we need.
On that day I was meant to see a GP, that is when I met Dr. Hanna. Dr. Hanna, I want to thank you for looking after me, and of course the others as well. As a patient who has seen multiple GPs, I appreciate that you took your time to listen to me, you did hear my struggle, and understood my frustration. I appreciate how you made sure you understood my frustration and so did I to you on where you were coming from. I couldn't help but be emotional when I thanked you in person. It was tears of joy and relief to finally find a reliable team to help me and others as well.
I want to take this chance as well to thank Dr. Bobby, who I used to see from a different clinic where it used to be bulk billed. I have experienced his compassion as well when I used to see him, but did not get the chance to thank him. For how many years you have looked after me, and I am forever grateful as well that you have been attentively listening to me and making sure to follow up with my overall well-being.
Overall, I just really want to emphasize that I am very grateful with the whole team's teamwork in looking after me. I have seen with my own two eyes and experienced firsthand how healthcare workers work together as one to provide the best possible service to their patients. Your actions, your way of communicating, and the way you listen show more than just "doing what I am expected to do or it is my profession." Your way of communicating and connecting with me shows so much desire to help and compassion with my overall well-being. I thank you so much again. Enjylmar
