I have been to this “urgent care centre” twice now and both times the patients I have been accompanying were turned away without a second thought.

The first time was for a deep laceration that needed stitches, we arrived to the waiting room at 4pm with the belief that the centre doesn’t close until 8pm. We were then told that the doctor wanted to go home early and were turned away.

The second time was this morning. We had been advised by a GP that we needed to attend an urgent care. We lined up waiting for the doors to open at 8am, with approximately 10 other patients waiting to be seen. When the doors opened at 8am and all patients walked through to line up the receptionist let us know that they would not be taking any walk ins at all, so all of the people who had been waiting had to turn and leave.

What is “urgent care” about either of these instances? How can walk ins be denied immediately? Is it not the point of the urgent care to take pressure off the emergency system by taking urgent but not emergency cases?

Australia’s medical system is failing and it’s thanks to places like this. The doctors and staff here should feel ashamed of themselves.

I can’t wait to have an AI generated message left by this place either telling me they appreciate me leaving feedback or that they can’t find my name as a patient!

Reception staff and the Dr I saw, all fantastic.
Checked in, sat down for about 10 minutes before having my obs checked, and then waited a bit longer for the Dr. All in all it was a 3 hour turn around, with the consult, CT, bloods and then a second consult fo the CT results. I was in a lot of pain and appreciated how prompt the experience was.

Don’t waste your time. Reception staff clearly need some training or replacing.

Was recommended to come here by a GP for an issue clearly listed on their website under the “when to visit urgent care” list, and was immediately turned away as it was not “urgent enough”.
Reception staff did not ask ONE question about the issue we presented with. Seems like they are not following policy/procedure to avoid triaging work.

The website says “you can just walk in”. Based on personal experience and the other reviews here, what the website fails to mention is, you are likely going to be asked to “just walk out”.

Went here for Urgent Care on Sunday 29th June. We were there at opening time. We all got turned away because they were not taking walk ins. At OPENING TIME...how does this happen? Can't call yourself an Urgen5 Care clinic then. Stay away from here. Find somewhere more reliable for Urgent help.

3 days ago I tool my 79 year old mum to the UCC clinic at Elizabeth, we'd been there previously and found the care excellent but on this visit the Receptionist looked at the Nurse beside her who shook her hand and said she didn't qualify for urgent care and to go to a GP, she didn't even stand up to look at my mum. I took my mum to the GP the next day and he said I had to take my mum straight to hospital because he was concerned she had internal bleeding, she then spent 2 days in hospital with several scans to make sure she didn't have internal bleeding. I don't agree that a receptionist and nurse should be able to decide if an elderly patient should be seen.

Did not open on time today as they had no doctor for the morning shift. So they opened at 12pm and had a big backlog of patients from the morning. Was seen after about 3 hours and the nurse and doctor I did get were both very kind and professional. They could not do my pathology test that was needed as pathology closed at 2pm so I will have to make an extra trip back for this.

I presented today with lower spinal pain and I can not fault any of the nurses or the care that I received. I was in a bed within 5 minutes of presenting and the nurses made me feel so safe and cared for. They listened, constantly checked up on me and helped me with my mobility when I was in too much pain to help myself. As someone who has alot of anxiety in health care situations, I can honestly say that today I felt none, just cared for and listed to.
Nurses, if you are reading this, I apologise for not saying thank you when I left. You helped me have the single most positive, least stressful, interaction in a medical center I have had in a long time.

I took my son here recently when he split his head open. We waited an hour. The receptionist on front desk was friendly and welcoming. The nurse was amazing. Very friendly and helpful to my son. And the doctor (Dr Butt) was very friendly and put my son at ease. Highly recommend using this clinic.
