I have been a patient here for many many years and I highly recommend this practice and Dr Jim Kosmas. He is without a doubt an excellent doctor. Rosie the receptionist is very welcoming.

First time at this clinic. Booked my first Covid vaccine appt. a couple of weeks ago. Got in within a fortnight. Saw Dr Penuel Jacob and the nurse who gave me the jab. Felt nothing. Dr Jacob explained everything clearly. I had the AZ shot as I'm over 65 so it's fine. All done within an hour. Too easy.

Not recommended.
Doctors are not responding on time and suggestung some overdose of IRONs and other vitamins. Even doctors are not ready to give print of the reports so you can't go to other medical centre.

1st they says bulk billed with bupa and later they refuses. BEWARE if you have private medicare.

And telephone receptionist are not supportive. When asked for any kind of confirmation on Invoice or appointments, they will just make you jump between doctors and management and never follow-up with you. Very sad.

Having advertised as being open to 10.30pm on google and on their website, and having found the clinic not answering their phone, and not providing any information on their answering service, I arrived at 9.10pm to find the clinic CLOSED. The reason we have services like Google, and business websites, is to advise the public of opening hours so they can make informed decisions about which businesses to patronize. Not so the public can be screwed around. Poorly managed business.

A family member had an incredibly poor experience with Dr. Penuel Jacob that needs to be shared for community obligation and awareness. They were booked in for the second coronavirus vaccine and cancelled last minute due to state going into lockdown. This would normally be understandable but given the SA Health website dictating protocols for doctors to remain open as an essential service (especially for the vaccine as it’s a national priority) was stressful. The reception staff reassured us that the cancellation was at the doctors discretion and they mentioned Dr. Jacob had gone home into lockdown… we were not given another choice of doctor (which was an obvious solution) but told to call back and reschedule when the lockdown was over. Thankfully other front line workers at Hindmarsh Medical Centre were able to provide us the second vaccine. How serious can a medical professional (i.e. essential worker) be when they cancel on patients and the statewide community when they’re in a time of need, not to mention not following the directive of SA Health that vaccination appointments remain open as a priority. I would recommend all my friends and family to never attend Dr. Jacob and if so, reconsider given this history.

Just a 30 seconds phone call, told you a good result no worry. Another receptionist told you it was a consultation I have to charge that back. Ok fine but you never solve my headache problem. You only focus on money. Unacceptable attitude of the receptionist.

Shameful. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. The receptionists are very rude and disrespectful. And you can never see the doctor when you really need to. You have to wait for like a week or two to see the doctor. I hope they take these reviews into consideration.
