From the moment you walk in, the entire team including receptionists, nurses, and doctors has been kind, professional and attentive. Most of my appointments has been smooth. I have been seeing Dr. Shamin nearly a decade and I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Shamin. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt genuinely cared for and listened to. Dr. Shamin is not only highly knowledgeable but also compassionate, patient, and thorough in every aspect of care. She takes the time to explain things in a way that’s easy to understand and always makes me feel like my health truly matters to her.

By reading the other reviews, it’s clear that I don’t need to say much—but here’s my experience.

The appointment started with rude and threatening behavior from Jo, the receptionist. Her intimidation and belittling should have been a clear warning sign, but unfortunately, I decided to proceed.

Dr. Prasantha Walgampola attempted to correct a procedure, but it ultimately failed. I couldn’t ignore the presence of expired medical supplies in the room, and when I raised concerns, I was met with excuses about costs instead of accountability.

A later appointment with his partner, Dr Shamin Walgampola was equally frustrating. My family members were forced to wait over an hour and a half (booked appointment). When I questioned whether this was some form of retaliation, I was dismissed and handed off to the aggressive practice manager, Fiona Brabender.

Looking back, the red flags were there—especially considering their previous practice at Well Come Medical Centre shut down without notice. The dishonesty and hostility I encountered at this clinic ensure I will never return.

Everything I have stated is backed by emails and documented forms.

Read the reviews and take them seriously. Stay away.

Isn't it funny that reviews for this surgery have been sparse for years? Yet, since I posted my review, numerous five-star reviews have suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Take a look at the past reviews—check the timelines—and remember, this practice had a 2.1 rating until all these positive reviews surfaced within a single month.

Dr Shamin and Prasantha Walgampola have looked after my family for the past 5 years now and we are very grateful to have such caring and hardworking doctors look after us. They are incredibly experienced and thorough when addressing our medical concerns/issues. Dr Prasantha is also a very skilled proceduralist and I would trust him to remove any skin lesion and leave hardly a scar! Would recommended them as GP's to anyone!
