This practice has some very good doctors, but getting to see them when you NEED to is an issue! They will cancel your appointment if THEY think (IN ADVANCE) that you won’t attend the upcoming appointment! My partner was told that due to a small number of ā€œnon-attendanceā€ occasions (ALL occurring over 2.5 years ago when trauma was a major factor and the reason for needing to see the doctor in the first place!), that the upcoming booked appointment will now be cancelled, right when my partner needs it!

You should not be blocked from seeing your doctor at time of need. And if the doctor or practice is concerned they will miss out on money in cases of cancellation, then they should give the OPTION of the person paying a fee in advance of the appointment to guarantee this is covered. You can’t just replace decades long Doctor-patient relationships by forcing patients to attend a different clinic altogether where there is no medical history. This is not ā€œpatient centred careā€ at all, but just about money.

Very disappointing attitudes from this practice. Policies are there for a reason, but don’t doctors train to treat the sick for a reason too?! Person-centred is the catchphrase thrown about across all the human services now. Yet if this was the case, there would be an individualised look at why an appointment was missed or cancelled, and an interest in working WITH the patient to make things work for the patient AND the practice. However, it seems there’s a punitive approach to physical and mental health care in the management of this practice if it takes a ā€œthree strikes and you’re outā€ attitude.

The Pathology lady at Abbott's Pathology was disgustingly rude. She had an aggressive attitude problem and the way she spoke to me and other patients was unprofessional and insulting. My husband was waiting in the waiting area and could even hear her aggressive tone toward me through the closed door and asked if everything was alright when I came out. I am 8 months pregnant and was feeling very unwell and this was the last thing I needed! Not impressed at all! Do not go here.

I have used this service for many years with no problems, but today I'm told I can no longer use their services because I haven't been sick for 4 years. This is a disaster for the area, and a national disgrace. To not have access to my local community doctor's.

4-5 years ago I would have rated much higher. It’s so sad to see how quickly a long standing practise has gone down hill. Had a long relationship with a Dr here and is now not seeing me because I questioned why the receptionist gave a different number for a phone consult and subsequently I didn’t get to speak with a doctor and told it was my fault, in fact I was called ā€˜abusive’, I didn’t swear or call names;
I was articulate and had a right to ask why and request to be spoken to in a respectful manner. It’s actually traumatic dealing with this practise; and what’s sad is that’s it’s the dr’s now also. Really heartbreaking to say but this just isn’t what it was, but sadly not one person seems to care, even with multiple negative reviews and so much word of mouth around people’s negative experiences. If you look at other reviews they were wonderful four + years ago but I don’t know what has happened. Stay away unless you want to feel like a criminal for asking to be treated with courtesy and like a human, and be turned away (even when deeply distressed) by a practise you have been using for many many years. It’s quite violating.

Absolutely devastated as to the treatment I have recently received by this clinic. My doctor was on leave for 3 months and in the interim I was booked in to see another doctor in the practice for review and repeat prescriptions as I have quite a complex medical history. I was phoned the day before my appointment and told that my appointment had to be canceled because the doctor I was going to see was isolating and then on leave and they couldn’t get me another appointment for 4 weeks, when I asked what I was going to do in the meantime for medication they told me to go somewhere else as that is the earliest I could get in to see that doctor and I could not see anyone else? I understand that covid has played havoc for medical practices however I have been going to this clinic for 20 years. Icing on the cake was to receive a letter a couple of weeks ago to say that they wouldn’t see me at this clinic anymore, I was devastated to get this letter and upon phoning the clinic to ask to see my usual doctor when she gets back they told me I would not be seen at this clinic even again. I know my doctor is going to be horrified when she finds out. So now here I am trying madly to find another doctor in this climate who will take on new patients with an extensive medical history like mine and also before some of my medications run out for treatment of chronic conditions most of which say don’t stop taking this medication suddenly. Shame on you Harbour Medical services and shame on you Dr Chad Collins, instigator of the cessation of my treatment there, not a good move especially when mental health issues are involved

Very poor clinic , cant get in to see a doctor unless you're double vaxxed wife just gave birth and they refused to see her in the clinic as she wasn't vaxxed yet.

Waited in 32 degree outside with a newborn for an hour to see the doctor, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

Very disappointing in the service. Trying to arrange appointments is merely impossible, on 3 separate occasions now I’m unable to make an appointment for days or up to a week at all 3 sites, not even a phone consult. Also the frustration of trying to ring through, phones always engaged or you are kicked off the line. Unfortunately they are the 3 main GP sites in the Peninsula area.
